    Win 7 network problem

I'm just talking about changing the subnet mask on everything to 255.255.0.0 and assigning stuff to the Class-B instead. It's just 192.168.x.x, so I don't see it being a problem in theory.

Actually, it is. Whether it should be or not is a different argument, but the income tax schedule makes it pretty clear what they want to accomplish, and the social benefits seem fairly clear. Agreed 100%. I wish all I had to do was pay a fine, its the points that bother me.

Solved: Repair install on XP that had IE7/8

This user is one of mine at work. If I did a nuke and pave, I would have to reinstall all the apps as well. That is at least a day's work, as some of the installs are a real PITA. "rundll32.exe syssetup,SetupOobeBnk" came from a Google search. Pretty neat.

If it is a standard drive. A hammer to the casing should crack the platters. Or a drill through the top plate and the platters will work fine. Simply throwing the drives onto concrete repeatedly should be effective as well.

My experience with the ATI cards is as follows: There are only two timing chips on the card. Therefore only two ports that require timing chips can be used at once. DisplayPort is the only connection that does it's own timing. Therefore you can use as many ports as the card has, but only two...

This stuff is a massive exothermic reaction. I started with a full Tyvek suit and goggles, but with a surface so close it was like being in a broiler. Combine that with all the chunks of concrete under the house that tore the suit to shreds in the first 30 minutes, and that the goggles that...

    Cases

That system doesn't have any spinning drives in it at all. The case fans blowing directly on the GPU tend to keep the GPU's fan noise under control. Then again, I bought one with an IceQ cooler on it. That case does support suspending your drives, so that should help considerably.
