    When to Build New System

The CPU wasn't really the culprit; the motherboard chipset was running much hotter. My new motherboard (X58A-UD9) has even more chips to support the extra PCIe lanes, so there is more heat.

Most Home Broadband Users Don't Know Their Speed

I actually did point that out. My point being that most videos don't have 1080P versions yet, and most users don't even know about the quality drop-down yet.

Depends on the airflow in your case. If you have significant airflow, no. If you have really low airflow and are overclocking/overvolting, yes. If you have no airflow at all and are overclocking/overvolting (like me) then you also need to use the built-in waterblock.

Full back story: Back when I was consulting full time, I had several accountants offices. One of which did all my books, in exchange for basic computer services. I like them, they like me, all is well. Another, different accounting company is a royal PITA. They are constantly complaining and...

Most Home Broadband Users Don't Know Their Speed

Most users shouldn't have to, really. Once it is fast enough to stream your video in real time, that is all you need at home. That is why broadband in this country isn't getting much faster; normal users wouldn't notice if it was. Now that Youtube has started offering 1080P, users might notice...

It makes sense that the price chasm between dSLR and medium format is spanned just as the image quality/resolution gap is being cut down. Just a shame that we don't get cheaper MF cameras instead.

Merc has a point Greg, you don't need to burn it, just point VMWare to the ISO.

I don't understand what you mean when you say unsupported. VMWare will install ANY OS, even ones it has never heard of. It doesn't need to know anything about the OS for the fundamentals to work just fine. What steps are you taking when you get this error?

Um, no. There is no hard limit on the amount of oil required at any time. It is relatively inelastic, but market forces are still plenty effective, especially over the long term. At one point I read quite a bit about them, but have forgotten most of it. My CPU is currently drawing under 150W, so a 223W peltier could do a decent number on it. I have that much headroom in my existing power supply ;)
