It took me a LONG time to find a mechanic I like. Like 3+ years. I'm actually only considering cars that he will work on as replacements (Mazda, VW, Audi, Lotus). He's also 100 miles from where I live, and 15 miles from anywhere of interest.

You can also install the RDC MMC into windows XP, but I haven't tried Vista. PUI.

I'm pretty happy with Sharp. I had a display issue and sent an e-mail via their web site. 3 hours later I got a response that said to call them. I did, and after a minute or so on hold I talked to a tech that talked me through it. Can't complain.

If you want a copy on your local machine to perform searches against, POP3. If you just want to be able to access all the mail from TBird, IMAP.

What I want is a DVD copy of everything Google has for my domain (mail, web, etc). Does anyone know of an easy way to get this? Do they offer it?

POP3 would work fine, just be sure to leave the messages on the server. 1. Open thunderbird with your old mail 2. Add your gmail account as a POP3 server (including "leave a copy on the server") 3. Let all your mail copy down I think that will do it.

Considering all the other markets Apple is into, market cap is not a good measurement. What is their percentage of the OS market doing? 6%? Same as the last decade? Who cares if they sell a billion iPods, if they aren't going to knock MS down a peg, they aren't relevant.

Overblown. It took a device driver update and a major hardware change (video card) to cause deactivation. And as anyone whose done it knows, phone activation is painless and takes less than 2 minutes. It is MS' fault? Yes. Is it a big deal? No.
