I have an account with the service that handles my box, they cut money orders on the spot and I pay in cash when I pick up the package. Quite handy, considering the complete anonymity of the whole thing.

Yeah, I know the 64-bit aspect of it is pretty useless at this point (as was a 386's 32-bit capability) for these kinds of tasks. But from what I've seen, it's pretty darn fast @ 32-bit as well. And I do enjoy playing :D Thanks I'll have to check that out.

The first system I ever got to play on regularly was a 386/33...It was the one computer in an office of 12 accountants, and all it did was print form letters... I'd imagine all the work those 12 were doing is being done by one guy with a P90 right now.....

Out of curiosity, any guess on the CRI of the CFLs @ home depot? Those are the only ones I have and I'd like a benchmark (comparing to the T-12s @ 84 you mentioned). Online ordering is not an option currently as I am without credit card (or any other location-aware ID....long story)

I went to Home Depot and those are indeed the same bulbs as I got (just bought them out). I hadn't even tried the other CFLs. Heat, efficency, and lifetime aren't really concerns for me; just the high color temp and fuller spectrum. So 5000k is better for reading? If so I'll have to get a hold...

I understand why; it wold be better if everyone made more money! Of course, the fact that this is completely impossible to pay people more without charging more for the product, thereby increasing the cost of living, thereby negating all the work you did in the first place! So the real question...

Although it would be wonderful for everyone to make at least $45,000 a year, some jobs are not capable of making that much money. No matter how kind the owner of a McDonald's is, the burger flipper is going to make much less. It's not possible for the owner to pay that salary for that job...
