Read the news.If we compare the SPECint_rate of the A1100 (80) with the one of some Intel processor, like the Xeon E3-1220L (90.6), the efficiency of AMD's latest design isn't all that impressive. The new A1100 has a TDP of 25W while the E3-1220L has a TDP of only 17W. I guess that GlobalFoundries' 28µm process shows its limits versus Intel's 22µm process.I took the SPECint_rate for Intel's E3-1220L from a Fujitsu PDF.The other integrated features will make the A1100 quite interesting for some platforms though, like support for 128GB of RAM and 8 SATA 6Gbps ports. There's even two integrated 10GbE ports.
