Not just your setup. The client will generate errors well before visual artifacts appear on the screen. Despite your issues, you're about to have your best month ever.

Well, it's the same for everyone.

More bad news: Our electric use is up 40% over the same time last year. So far, I have not been able to find a single cause for this increase. I may have to curtail my folding for a while untill I find what is causing this.

:(

That's it, I'm down to two computers dedicated to the project. One is an unoverclocked i7 950 and the other is a pathetic Athlon X2 4800+. I sold my Core i7 860 this evening. I don't know when I'll be able to build a new box to increase my contribution. I guess it'll be a while before it happens, but who know. I may have found a new way to make money (yes, it's legal), but I may just have been lucky.

More to come...

I find it particularly satisfying that it's my latest big unit that made us overtake Team Canada.

We're far from what we used to be, but we're still gaining more positions than we're losing.

International team. Right now, there are active members from the USA, Québec and Australia. There used to be Swedes, Canadians and Fins.

Montana is not a country! Montana is part of The United States of America.
Quebec is not a country! Quebec is part of Canada!!!

Perhaps that is not enough learning and you need a short quiz to really absorb it.

Fill in the blank:

Montana is to the USA, as Quebec is to ___________!

Without drawing too much attention, Bozo quietly completed the best week of his folding career. Congratulations.

By mid-september, the temperature in your corner of the world should have dropped enough to allow you to resume your contribution. I'll have a hard time staying in front of a bunch of hexacore Intel CPU. I currently only have one 2600K and one i7 860. The 2600K is barely overclocked.

Bozo continues to improve. He's 1228th by daily production, so he should improve his rank for a while (he's ~7000th right now). He's now a tenor on the team.

There seems to be a short supply of big units these days. I received a 6977 unit after my big unit on my best computer. This is the second time it's happened in a one week period.

Last summer (our winter), you left at least one computer running the client. You expect higher temperatures this year? Anyway, your contribution this year has been phenomenal. In fact, from April to now, you're the only one to have out-produce me overall (with Mark being very close to me).

The bank of offices where I am is on a single zone. It wraps a corner of the building, with my office in the sun (large windows) while the thermostat is on the shady side in the hallway. It is a LEED building, so the windows don't open and the thermostat cannot be bypassed.

Bugger. In a month or two I'll have to shut down for three months or more.
Were the two big units you completed on the 26th your last two before the Summer (our Winter) break? It sure looks like it because you are late for the following ones.
