Radeon HD 6570 and 6670 on my price list.

I can sell (again) cards that haven't been officially released yet. Those are the GigaByte GV-R667OC-1GI and GV-R657OC-1GI. According to what I've found on the Net, the Radeon HD 6670 and 6570 are supposed to be OEM only. The specifications are very close to those of the old Radeon HD 5670. The 6570 should be slightly slower (or equal) than the 5670, while the 6670, a bit better. There's a 10$ difference between the two (~75$ and ~85$) while the 5670 cost me 78-80$ for the 512MB DDR5 variant (the cards based on the newer chips include 1GB of DDR5 RAM).

I haven't found the card on GigaByte's website yet. I suppose the power rating should be around 55W to 65W.

I do not understand the point of releasing so many different low-end video cards. OK, fine, those Radeons don't need PCIe power. But who gives a crap? Either I want a $30 card, a $100 card (which is probably the $200 card from two generations ago) or a $300+ card. Why gum up the market with so many different SKUs?

Why? Consumers certainly can't tell the difference.

I'm not saying it makes sense from a logical point of view, just that business types are taught that in order to squeeze the most from every individual, you need to create as many points on the spectrum as possible.

When I did computer retail, we had computers from the big manufacturers every $50 to $75. When someone came in, they would simply pick the most expensive one that they could afford.
