The drive is strange. The access time is unnatural in HDTach. HDTune locks up the computer when the drive is accessed. What results are others getting for the drive? It also smells odd, but I take that as volatiles from the drive being new.

No way. I copied a reply in the morning. Maybe the post was removed by a modernator?

By using MS Word? Do you use Notepad or something else?

There are no alterations to this thread from what I can see. Normally it would show if a moderator removed something. I did not remove your post.

It is rather strange. XP32 is accessing the drive, or at least the light stays on for eons and computer sometimes lags. Yet when it is booted in XP64 there are no problems. The drive itself is typically rather slow, but not terrible. Basically it is like the WD 2TB drive a year later or maybe their own 1.5TB drive. Who knows why Samsung is slow to achieve four platters. I pulled it for now.

Comparison is shown between the two Samsung 5400 RPM 500GB/platter drives. The access time of the 2TB drive is very low for some unknown reason.

I don't think there is anything inherently wrong with the Samsung. In 2 of 3 setups it is fine.

The moon is, on average, 384,400km away. For a penny to drop that far in only 8 days, it must be travelling at 560m/s. Mythbusters has established that pennies typically fall at 29m/s. Ergo, LM is 19 times smarter than Mythbusters.

Newegg is selling an external 2TB (139.99) drive for less than the internal (149.99).

Do you guys think it's the same drive? Can I just take the drive out of the case and use it as an internal drive?

Code is good until 2010. Why even bother having the code?
