Seagate to launch 2TB...here we go again

low power just like WD Greenie drives...but will they be as reliable enough as WD to make Merc want to buy them .

Constellation 500GB 2.5in laptop drive, lower power than current 7200.4k Momentus...hmm, what kind of laptop user would need one of these? (mobile severed business servers??? Wi-Fi escort service on the run?)

At the same time, Seagate has announced the release of two 2.5-inch, 7,200RPM Constellation drives with the lowest power consumption in their class and 500GB and 160GB capacities. All five drives in both new lines are meant for enterprise applications, working under heavy workloads in business servers.

Seagate and WD...the two companies I don't want to buy HDs from at the moment. WD's reputation is getting better, and Seagate is getting worse. Hitachi and Samsung just cruise along, staying out of the headlines.
