Bummer indeed. Tom Cruise is a pathetic substitute.

It's a franchise, just like Bond, or... Batman :p...some actors are better than others, but it always changes....not dependent on any one actor/actress really....hell, at least Cruise does almost all of his stunts, what other multimillionaire actor does (Jackie Chan doesn't count, he's not a 100K+ millionaire)?

Then we have the new The Prisoner...while the old 60's series is seriously dated, hard to modernize it and find someone better than Patrick McGoohan: "I am not a #!"

I don't know the films. In the late 60s early 70s MI was the show I watched on Saturday nights. Some people liked the Landau-McBain pair, though I did not care so much.

My latest shipment of drives from Newegg, four $44, 250GB Samsung drives, arrived double boxed with the entire interior volume of the inner box occupied with bubble wrap individually surrounding each drive.

Yes, the camera on my phone sucks.

I received a drive from Seagate today. This looks like one of the best single-packaged drives I've seen for shipping.

ps my camera phone doesn't suck as bad as yours. ;-)

I've never actually used ChatRoulette. That might be your preference, but I avoid that.

They would only know what you look like, but not where you are unless if you give them your information.

That's standard single-drive packaging from Seagate. That's how they have returned RMA'd drives for at least the last six or seven years. I don't really think we'd want Newegg to adopt that style for packaging. It looks expensive.

"Camera" wasn't part of the feature set I was considering when I bought my phone. It's just fine for taking pictures of equipment rooms or wiring closets, which amount to 90something% of the photos I've taken with it.

When installing Microsoft Application Virtualization Management Server, the very first window that pops up is one that says "After installation, please click Next."

Needless to say, clicking next in that window screws up the whole installation.
I finally figured that out after the fifth time I did it.

Installing apps on a 2003 Terminal Server does excatly the same thing. Very annoying.

This is a new one for me. I received my 5 Samsung 1.5TB drives this morning from newegg. I've not quite figured out the right words to describe this rendition of their packaging system? The footballed foam carrier of doom?

I haven't had time to test any of the drives. My Supermicro drive cage is coming from Amazon likely next week.

That's very close to how I usually get smaller orders of drives. Usually they'll give you a 10-seat half-carton if you order more than four drives and a full carton in the OEM shipping box if you order more than 10 drives. The OEM cartons are enclosed on both sides and in a custom-fitted box.

I remember you mentioning the the half-carton packaging, but I was hoping I'd get the nice shipping you got with your recent order. Maybe it depends on the packing person's mood...that carton was floating in the box with another part I ordered while being stuffed with packing peanuts.

I meant to ask you how yours shipped. Good to know I'm not the only one with the weird shipping method. Did you get newegg to credit you the difference in the price?

Uda, do you ever post anything on topic? Or are you just a perpetual troll?

Here timwitless <lemme hold up the mirror so u can see yourself as u are, duplicitous hypocrite.

FYI, my post was relevant & OT, go look @LM's switching drives from laptops thread. LM did not specify much in his post above, not that it *matters* to a troll like urself.

Lacking info, I took an educated guess, that he was using *acknowledged flawed* (@Chewy :p ) W$ laptops that he (we presume) "killed". Also mentioned he was looking for a 1TB replacement in that thread< ergo...I know trolls like U are a little *slow*, the references; which again, entirely *on* topic> given LM's typically vague posts.

pwnd again!

Uda's Mac was probably hacked because of the lack of security with its 20 Zero day security issues. I guess I should ban his account to stop the spam until he can install a more secure OS to keep his account and credit cards from being hacked.

It isn't that difficult to sort out the trolls from those simply with an unpopular opinion. I, for the most part, stay clear of the details of the Apple slamming because I only have one actual Apple laptop (MBP) and a couple of iPods that I don't use. Therefore I am not in a position of authority to speak on such things.

By that logic, you shouldn't criticize a Toyota unless you own one.

Timwhit is a valued member of the forum, it's offensive to call him a troll.

Udaman is just an Apple troll sock puppet who occasionally gets right up other people's noses. Like others, I mostly don't care unless he completely derails a thread, but I don't think he's done that for a while.

We often mention our good signal-to-noise ratio. In oder to have a S/N ratio, we actually need noise. Therefore, I'm against banning Udaman. Besides, the "ignore" fonction would become useless if he wasn't here.

Shouldn't the goal be to lower the noise level enough that the signal level approaches infinity?

I took Udaman off ban so I could moderate his posts if he decided to post inappropriate images or links again without mentioning NSFW.
