Yes, it was a great learning experience. Learning and getting confidence in counter steering above 11MPH was quite an adjustment, but once the mind accepts that it will work even though it seems to make no sense it goes easier.
Might end up trying to go for an S1000RR as opposed to the F800 ST. 193HP would seem like an expensive form of suicide, however with the bike in rain mode and the shift light set to 7000rpm it's apparently quite a gentle experience (you can crack the throttle wide by accident and the electronics just give a gentle push of acceleration instead of an end over end loop).

Just did the first real test for my in-ceiling kitchen vent. Deeply marinated steaks on a very hot cast-iron grill. It wasn't enough until I cracked a window to provide some supply air, then it was perfect.

No, the 4" thick grease filters cut down the flow substantially. I'd be surprised if it was over 600CFM now. It's just enough that the smoke didn't go anywhere but the vent, and didn't accumulate at all.

Besides the smell, quite good. Very quiet, easy to deal with, and doesn't ask for much. And it kept the kids excited for the evening.

We found one in 1971 and it is still around. She had to have some surgeries over the years, etc. but is doing well this season. Many species slow down and hibernate in the autumn.

I just want to share that my brother has started a weight-losing program two months ago and that he's already lost 20lbs. I'm very proud of him. He wasn't as obese as Merc was a few years ago and he doesn't plan on losing as much weight as our former substantial man did, but nonetheless, it's a hard process and it takes a lot of discipline. He's now down to a scant 1/8 ton.

We pulled a 35cm long blue tongue lizard from our rock wall next the house and needed to relocate him to a more suitable location... They're not poisonous, but can give a nasty bite. (and we didn't want our dog attempting to take it on).

Had a couple of blue tongues come in the house back in the day, I guess they liked the cool slate floors, and they usually ended up under a cabinet where the dog couldn't get them. Usually wrapped them in a towel to avoid clawing/biting before depositing them back in the great outdoors. Poor pupums was devastated that there would be no snack. Fortunately never had any snakes around.

Haven't had any snakes yet, but with all the property development and associated land clearing going on in our area, we're expecting to see a few brown's to come out this summer... (the last one I saw on a walk was just over a 1m long).
Most of the land around us is farm land, but a lot of this land has been sold to property developers who are setting up small housing estates and using the 'get a country lifestyle' catch-phrase to sell them - despite the avg block land size being smaller than 500sq m's. Which is assuming as most of the other established blocks of land with housing in the area are all quarter or half acre at the smallest size end, with the average size to be over 3/4 of an acre. Yes, these new housing estates look very odd amongst the vast bush area.

Just like to ask a quick question of the parents, or others who look after nieces and nephews in the forum...
At what age do you think it would be acceptable to let a child watch Star Wars? (Not ep2 or ep3, but the original ep4, 5, and 6).
My wife were talking about what we should be letting our eldest watch, as he is nearing 4yrs old, as a small group of other mothers she talks to online via another forum, were all comparing their children's TV viewing habits whose children are in a similar age group. Some parents within the group are strictly cartoons and specific preschool kids shows, while others let there kids watch pretty much anything (within reason, eg no violence or adult language or other adult content).
The reason I raise Star Wars as a subject, (specifically ep 4,5 and 6) is that it's low on direct graphic violence, no foul language to watch out for, and it includes a lot of elements that kids like, eg space ships, etc.

Not that I'm a parent, but I was born after some of the Star Wars movies were made, so I have my own experience to go by.
My parent's put it and many other things when I was quite young (I don't remember the first time). It was good fun, and every time I watched it I picked up more and more of the plot.
Their mistake? Ghostbusters. I was just a bit too young to understand that it wasn't real and ran out of the theater crying

Yeah I would have no issues with 4, 5 and 6. At that age they just enjoy the space action etc. The other three are far darker in scope, killing kids/decapitations etc. The originals ftw! BTW the boy-ray versions look and sound great, much better than the 480/576 line pap we have seen before.

I think the key is to be there to answer questions they may have, and to let them understand the difference between make-believe Hollywood fantasy and the realities of everyday life, moreso as they get older and more difficult themes are explored.

I've given it some thought, and I don't think I'd show Star Wars to preschoolers (we didn't). That's probably THE most impressionable age - I'd stick to harmless fantasy or something that doesn't have shooting in every second scene. Have you forgotten the scene in the bar, or the death of Obi-Wan Kenobi?
My daughters have revealed how terrifying some things were that they saw as littlies - it can make a really deep impression at that age.

My experience started in the TGI Fridays in Ventura at about 11PM on Friday. All I wanted was a break from the car and some food before driving to LAX. A colossal number of inconveniences later had us arriving at the hotel at 2:30AM.
- Terrible service kept us there for an hour next to a bunch of loud college kids
- GPS lost signal
- 101->405 exchange closed
- DUI checkpoint trying to find a way back onto the 405
- Tablet with Google maps battery dies
- 10->405 exchange closed
- Another DUI checkpoint
- Phone dies
Effectively we had to drive from near the 101->405 exit to LAX on surface streets. Massive amounts of construction, traffic, drunk drivers, and DUI checkpoints made this a nightmare.
