That's what I was thinking about but then I thought about the value of the vehicle and it probably is totaled.

I went car shopping with my girlfriend on Sunday, but this was for her, not me. Her Civic is a 2003 (116K miles) and is at the point where it needs a timing belt replacement, a new catalytic converter (engine light comes and goes), headlight replacement, fix the front window washer, and some suspension work. The car is valued at roughly $2500 due to the wear and tear and also she's pretty hard on the exterior, so it has some exterior damage. The cost of the repairs/maintenance come close to the value of the car, so it's a tough call to fix or replace.

We test drove a 2012 Hyundai Tuscon GLS and it was rather nice. She was comparing it to a Honda CRV and we were impressed with the quality and also the ride. The safety report looks to be very good at the IIHS website.

I believe it had 30k or something of all highway miles. Though that just looks like they'd need to replace a few body panels to me.

Basically all the body panels on my Maxima are damaged except for the 4 doors. The headlights, front bumper, grill, hood, rear bumper, trunk, etc. I'd wager the "frame" is tweaked too.

It looks totaled to me simply due to the aged vehicle. The good part is that it is nice to have a new car once in a while. :)

Slow day at work today, so I'm working through the piles of hardware I have sitting around. I've got two Core 2 Duo and one Turion laptop working well enough to boot Linux off a thumb drive. Which is cool because, hey, free laptops.

A friendly teenage geek was bored this summer, to I gave him a dozen dead compaq laptops. These were all failed screens, power connections, motherboards, etc. Really dead. Just through part swapping he has revived 4 of them. Not financially feasible, and certainly not worth my time, but cool for him.

WTF is up with the Google? There is a vertical bar on the left instead of the menu above and no shopping on it.

So the insurance company still hasn't made up their mind about the car. Apparently their analysts are still working on it and will make a decision by Thursday. I had the body shop fax me the estimate they sent the insurance company. It says there's $7k in damage to the car and their estimate only uses non-OEM parts.

The insurance company / body shop tried this stunt when my car was rear ended 2 years ago and they got to replace the rear bumper cover a 2nd time with an OEM one because the first one was a non-OEM part with bad fit and finish that had visible molding marks and the like. I already have an somewhat terse voicemail into my claim rep about this.

Some pictures from last time:

They changed the layout like, oh, maybe last Friday? Something like that.

It is a very strange situation. On my main computer the Google is unchanged (bar on top). I don't log into anything and I just turned that computer on. :spiderman:

How does the Google know my e-mail addresses? I understand that they know my temporary IP address, but not e-mail.

They only know it if you have registered with one of their services and signed in from that computer before. Cookies do the rest.

I don't think so. Does the Google have a store? I also clear the cookies around 4000 times per year.

Google has "Google Checkout" and "Google Wallet" which are used by a bunch of online vendors. They also own YouTube, have e-mail services, and about a million other things.

Doesn't flash have its own cookie system that is independent of the browsers cookies. Thus, you can clean the browsers cookies all day long and still have cookies...

Looks like she did some modeling for MetArt, Twistys and DDgirls. Solo sets, no toys (that I could see from a skim of my collection), and no performing with a partner of either gender. Basically people took pictures of her standing around being hot. That makes her more of a nude model than a porn star.

I'm managing some pain from a surgery this morning. I needed a periodontal graft put over my lower six teeth. It's uncomfortable and everything tastes like blood.
