Storage Is My Life
Interesting conclusion, the author himself isn't 'converted'.

Not entirely solo...but more independent than before. My earlier inquiry into needing a divorce attorney with immigration experience speaks to this.
(and marry you?)

If you are anywhere near Highway 101, then, welcome to gang-land.
If she has a card valid for 10 years from when it was issued, she doesn't have conditions.
Definitely get a good immigration attorney.
Nope, I'm on El Camino Real a few blocks from Stanford; practically between Stanford University and downtown Palo Alto. Very nice neighborhood. I actually saw a Mercedes SL55 AMG loose a drag race last week (to a Ferrari 550 Maranello) about a block from here.
This place is really affordable ($700/mo in Palo Alto is amazing) so that should help me from worrying about my tenuous employment situation.
RE: Health care. I almost like the fact that I don't have insurance; it means I don't even think about going in for anything non-fatal. And I do consider myself quite fortunate to have not had any major maladies in the last decade (since my last doctor's visit). I've broken a few teeth, but they aren't exceptionally painful, and I can still eat, so I'll just ride it out...

Well, I have known of Swiss and Britons who come here to the Philippines to have their teeth fixed, saying it is much cheaper to purchase plane tickets and shell out for living quarters and board and pay for Dental Care here than to have their teeth fixed in theri countries.Dentists here, are apparently crap unfortunately...
I was just talking to the girl about health coverage; as one of the things she will lose along with her husband is insurance. The quote she received to continue her current coverage is $500/mo. It seems that you either have useless insurance for piece of mind (like Merc) that doesn't kick in until you wish you were dead, or you pay through the nose for something that you still aren't really happy with and hopefully won't use.I had an abscess develop out of a dead root, required somewhat painful root canal, and then visit to specialist oral surgeon to suck out all the puss above the dead tooth. If I had waited longer (avoided seeing the dentist until there was an ever increasing sore spot above the dead tooth) the infection (on X-ray you could see the small hole developing in my skull from bone deterioration) supposedly could have gone up into the eye-socket area, and from there a quick shot into the brain for a fatality! You're better off spending a few thousand to get those broken teeth fixed whenever you can, IMHO. Buy a $100/prepaid discount dental card plan, you get lower quality dentists (CostCo offers one of these, with eye-care discount plan) but at least you get the problem fixed, at a reduced rate.
Health care is a big problem worldwide (except maybe India, but then the quality is not very high, you don't read about all the malpractice cases, legitimate ones I mean; not like the bogus, Edwards for vice pres, cerebral palsy cases that make smart, scumbag attorney's filthy rich). Get cancer, you're either going to die unnecessarily at an early/premature age, or you'll be bankrupt for a good portion of your life. HMO/PPO's plans in Calif can be had for about $100/mo in ddrueding's case, IIRC. It's not the best kind of health care, but better than nothing. The state requires auto insurance to have a valid driver's license, and that usually costs at least $100/mo, but there is not requirement for health insurance.
This is actually a really sweet deal. It's a house behind a dive motel; you actually have to drive through their parking lot to get to the house. The upsides are:I never even think of touching a married woman with a 10-ft pole, just too much stress and complications aren't work it. Unless the divorce papers are in hand, being final; it's stay-away from trouble, in my mind. But we know the young vagabond ddrueding likes to live dangerously, take lots of risks , falls in 'love' (or lust is what some of us like to call it, the chemical high goes away after a few years) quickly. Damn $700/mo right next to Stanford, is it a run down student's appt complex? Still hard to believe it's that low being so close to such a pricey private Univ.
I don't do college chicks anymore. I'm more of a fan of professors; smart works for me.Hmm, I'd just dump the foreigner, and hit upon the Stanford seniors with rich daddies.
Or find a loose AMG, with an equally loose hottie female driver. I'd like to see both of those drivers involved in the drag race, permanently lose their driver's licenses. Those kind of things are usually done by teenagers, and I see it all the time on the TV news, innocent bystander drivers die from head-on collisions these fools cause when they do these drag races on public roadways. Find a deserted country road, kill yourself, I'm fine with that; just don't put other people like myself at risk of death... f***kers!
What's wrong with American women?
I have a brother who would be willing to offer a 30,000 word essay on that subject.
A lot; I'll leave this to others until I'm rested. But on top of all that; there is a lot wrong with Russian men. German men, too, as a matter of fact. It's much easier to be what they want, as their expectations are that much lower.
(e.g. a now found fondness for porn wneddnce: )
Sounds interesting, I would like to hear a few.
I arrived in bright and shiny california (LA) this morning. It's a nice 96 degrees F!!! I left the 40 degree weather in MA! I'm sitting in the hotel lobby using my laptop because the wireless connection sucks here. They have a million AP's and it's driving my wireless card bonkers. I'm getting about 5K download speeds. It could be all the geeks here for vmworld saturating it...
I asked one of the women in my dance class what type of guy she was after (She's Chinese). Her answer?
"Tall white doctor". I think you can tell a lot about what a person is looking for in a relationship by what types of traits they prioritize.
