In closing, there is nothing on this earth so capable of depressing the shit out of a guy as not being able to find anybody to talk to on a personals site.
As a consolation prize, we like to talk to you here.

And it's still better to depress the shit out of a guy than to use it to make a dirty Sanchez.

Is Canadian football that much different other than the larger scale? I know that in Germany the football was more like our soccer - skinny guys in shorts with little protection.

Oh my, that is interesting.

Back to Merc. Unfortunately there are more depressing things than being lonely. :(
I still think you need to go out and meet women in the real world.

The other big difference is that you only have three downs.

This forces much more aggressive play calling than you see in US football, making for, frankly a more exciting game (if only we had the same caliber of players). You can't just fall forward for 3 yards every play.

I turned off images first. Searching for "Mark Sanchez eating his hot dog" could have been dangerous. ;)

Is it a good idea to scarf down food in the middle of a contact sport? It looks like he had the wherewithal to apply mustard or other condiment. :)

The first episode matches up with the first issue of the comic almost exactly.
There are 75 issues of the comic.

One of the things that's different about the Walking Dead is that it's character driven. It's not about the zombies. It's not about the apocalypse. It's about what happens after. The titular "walking dead" are actually the survivors and what they have to do in order to live.

The down side is that the guy who writes the comics isn't very good at writing endings.

She was already renewed for another season.

I have seasons 1-15 on my computer, but I never seem to catch them on TV. I don't have one of those newfangled DVR thingies.

I'm perfectly happy to wait for DVDs and/or torrents. Everything is better without commercials and all the crap that TV networks splash over the screen during broadcasts.

I don't know what Top Gear is.
I did just get 14 seasons of Good Eats. I've never seen it either but the name sounds promising.

My dad's been on a food show kick, so I got all of "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives" and "Man vs. Food" for him. Man vs. Food is mega-awesome and I want to be that guy when I grow up.

TopGear is an entertaining automobile show that has grown more and more popular over the years. If you're interested, check out an episode on YouTube or torrent if it interests you I can make them available if you want them.

I've also enjoyed Good Eats with Alton Brown. He was also the host for Iron Chef America (or may still be). I've found his shows to be entertaining and also scientifically enlightening with regards to food. I also enjoy some of the camera work they do while producing his shows. Some might not enough his style, but he keeps me interested.

I've also been working on getting a private tracker for torrents going and sharing it with friends. If you're interested in sharing some Good Eats for TopGear...I might be interested. :) Assuming I get it working.

I worked 15 hours yesterday, slept 5 hours and I'm going back to work for at least another 12 hours. I'll work at least 12 hours Friday too and supposedly only 7 Saturday, but I already have a complicated service call planned after work and I'll probably watch football Sunday reinstalling an OS on a customer's box. I used to enjoy building computers and working on them. Too much work made that vanish.

That's what happens when you're good at something : people refer you and refer you and send you some more customers...until you crumble under work.

I can hold up to the computer stuff alright, but it's the running home mid-morning, mid-afternoon, and after work to crawl under the house, climb over the house, pull wires, plumb, frame, and rock that is kicking my butt. 6:30AM to 11PM isn't bad, but the interspersed physical labor and the fact that it's gone on for months is wearing me down.

I've been holding up well with that stuff for years.
It's not really the computers that are the problem, it's their owners. Dealing with the dealines and customers constantly asking for the status of their repairs before the moment I told them it would be ready that's really working me.

If only it was rewarding on the money side, but it isn't. I probably make between 5K and 10K less than you yearly. And even you earn a slavery salary by many people view. I'm about to grow a moustache and great customers with a Sombrero on my head (and maybe a machete behind my back).

hmmm. the conversation is timely.
my eldest daughter is 36, my 2nd is 33, my son is 28, my grandson is 6.
if i walk for a while, my body aches. if i sit for a while, my body aches when i try to stand up. the memory isn't too good, too. if somebody interrupts what i'm saying, i tend to forget what it was after he finishes saying what he interrupted me with.

Paugie, you need to find ways to get out of your intellectual comfort zone. That will force your brain to reajust and push back Alzheimer. Speaking two languages is supposedly good (you have English and your native language). People with an above-average head diameter are also supposed to be more resilent (not immune) to the development of Alzheimer. From the pictures I've seen of you, it seems to be your case.

Play chess.

Or keep using Windows. Figuring out the craziness of each version gives me a headache. Vista was good for +1/4".
