Something Random

Following that link may have an effect on my Amazon recommendations that will be difficult to explain. ;)
I just read a few of the reviews... and this one seems to top it off:

Warning: potentially misleading title. This book is a fictional erotic story, not an instruction manual like I thought it was when I ordered it.
Title of the book: Mating with the Raptor (Beast Mating Erotica)

;)

Why an adult male human being cares about some pink poney cartoon? You make me feel like Stalone's caracter in Demolition Man.

Because it's unironically entertaining and enjoyable; charming without being treacly. Much like the three seashells, if you give it a chance you'll at least see how it's supposed to work.

I prefer the three blue diamonds.

I'm really more of a Twilight Sparkle (big purple star) fan in general.

Also, Chewy: Girls like pony stuff. Pony stuff has gotten me dates with girls who like pony stuff. Even if you don't understand anything else about the particulars of Pony-fandom, you have to admit that's a valid reason all on its own.

treacly... I learned a new word today.

Without the word having a distinctly flavorful nuance to make the point stronger the intended point will otherwise be disrupted or lost by a large percentage of the audience. I guess it all comes down to the goal the writer is trying to achieve. Show off their vocabulary, enhance the point they are trying to make, or a little of both.

I know I don't have the slightest idea of what treacly means. So if the purpose was to make a point to my intend, I must conclude it failed.

Me no comprende senior.

I would use the word saccharine instead, but I'm not so sensitive.

Why does the name k.d.Lang often populate when I'm texting on the smartphone? He's not in my contacts. bbq also appears often. It's very annoying.

The keyboard I'm most familiar with is Swype, which has a "social" dictionary, meaning that words get added to user dictionaries based on common usage by other signed-in users. I was a bit surprised that Swype knew the word "Nas" for example, until I found out that "Nas" is also a rapper.

The phone is the old Galactic SII. Apparently KD Lang is female. It's difficult to determine at a glance from small images.

I must be missing something, for my research indicates there are no large tablets (10+ inches) that are also useable as a cell phone. Am I wrong?

That would make for an awkward cell phone without a Bluetooth earpiece or watch. The Galaxy Note is already pretty awkward. I admit I understand the utility though once paired with Bluetooth. Pun intended.
