The system has run for 12 hours running F@H SMP. I think I'm beginning to like Gigabyte motherboards.
I'm amazed! I have never had a CPU overclock like this before.

I would post the CPU-Z results if I knew how.

Have you been paying attention to what can be done with C2Ds at all?
The $100 1.8GHz E4300 can be readily taken to 3.2GHz. Hell, I got one to run at 3.8GHz for about a day and a half.

Bozo what kind of RAM are you using?

I haven't really been paying much attention to overclocking anything unless it was mentioned here. And even then I wasn't all that interested as the motherboards I use (Intel) don't overclock.

The memory is Kingston KVR800D2N5K2/1G (and /512) for a total of 3GB.

Yeah, I've been watching. It's been so hard to stay out of the game for this long. I've ordered a Q6600 for myself twice, selling it before it even arrives.

If it makes you feel any better, my biggest hard drives are only 500GB.
Granted, I have about 20 of them, but still...

I have one layer of redundancy. Besides the RAID-5/hotspare at home, I have a friend who keeps an exact copy of my array at his place. I paid for the gear, he pays the power and keeps an eye on it. Sync is via the internet, and he has read-only access to the movies and pron.

Of course, for true redundancy that equipment should be located on the East coast, say upstate NY? :)
