I can't decide if I'm sick or if my allergies are just giving me a harder-than-usual time. And because I'm currently uninsured (Medicaid is giving me the usual run-around that I have no time to deal with at the moment) I can't go to the doctor to figure it out/get excuse notes for those classes...

I would say most of my storage actually goes to my games library. As in, the games I set up but never play. I think I could count how many games I actually play on one hand. Maybe two. As for actual data, my transcoded DVDs take up most of that, measured at 235ish GB? The setup files I hoard...

I would think the HD series has the grunt necessary to drive a 2-4K panel as long as you're not trying to game on it. But then, I've never had a 4K display and I'm not likely to get one this decade either.

Most of the people at the college run 10 now. Including most of the professors! The college's own machines are all still running 7 though. Or, as a shockingly large amount are Macs, OS 10.whatever. I think a few are still running Snow Leopard in fact.

Also, it's finally happened, I'm using more than half of my 2TB drive. If you told me even three years ago that I'd somehow find a way to use even 1TB I'd laugh. At the time I couldn't even fill a 250GB drive halfway. And that was basically my only storage medium at the time, too.

Ech. On my T450 I've switched back to Chrome from Vivaldi because it uses far, far FAR, far too much RAM (6GB for only ~30 tabs) and the UI has gotten so slow it makes Windows 95 on a 386SX look speedy by comparison. I like the tab stacking but I don't like it enough to deal with that nonsense...

I have no complaints about performance, but then, nothing is really "slow" on a 20+mbps connection. For better perspective I should probably be trying this from home.

I personally defer to you on this one, on paper it sounds like there's no real downside to making the move. What concerns me is the topics left from years past, would it wipe out all of it or would it all be kept? Sorry if that's a dumb question, forum software isn't exactly my forte.

I've found that using thir basic driver package works much better than the full software suite on Windows, and on Linux I of course don't have to deal with that at all, CUPS and HPLIP are my friends there.
