This is why I wrote exactly what I wanted the officiant to say, and insisted that they read it, and only it, during the ceremony. 5 minutes, tops.

That is what I figured. My hearing had taken quite a hit at the ball game (the luxury suites are tucked underneath the top stands, and redirects a lot of crowd noise into the room).

Just got back to the office from a trip to the Giants baseball game with the boss. Had too much to drink, and am now listening to music far too loud at my desk (at 1AM). The Adam A8X speakers actually feel like I have a fan on my desk blowing on me. Is this bad for them?

    question Glasses

Lasik is on my short list. I normally pay $1k without insurance for my glasses, (plus another $700 for sunglasses) and they last a couple years before I bother to go back in for another appointment. The reason for the sunglasses is that my transition lenses do not change at all in the car. I...

Nvidia’s GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 revealed: Faster than Titan X at half the price

Closed loop is fine. I'm not having an issue reading about it; I want to buy one right now, and can't find a reliable source. Really? That isn't the conclusions reviewers were reaching in earlier articles. I should do some more research.

What's the best wireless router these days?

Most of the people who used those in the later years flashed the firmware to one of many 3rd party alternatives. All of these allowed you to pretty crazy on the transmit power (well outside FCC regs)

Nvidia’s GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 revealed: Faster than Titan X at half the price

Still haven't found a 1080 from a reputable seller that has more than the single 8-pin power connector. Based on the reviews, this seems to resolve a potential bottleneck in overclocking. I would love that card with the EK waterblock on it, but haven't found that either.

That company was mine. I'd negotiated the sale and left. The tech industry collapsed so completely immediately after I left that one of their escape clauses was triggered. Without guidance, the staff (~30) just kept paying themselves until they ran out of money.

This has never been an option for me. I did it once anyway, and the company literally ended up in bankruptcy before I returned 3 months later. Go team. Since then the longest I've been out of touch is the 12-hours I spend on a single flight.

The second case I went with allowed a full ATX power supply (I went with an AX760i). It also gave me enough space in the lower compartment (since the only thing there was the PSU) to bundle the miles of spare cable that this case did not require. The big thing that will make the next one...

What's the best wireless router these days?

Most of the time it was just the power supply that failed. When there was a situation where reliability was paramount I'd put in a scientific power supply, strip the casing, attach a bunch of aftermarket heatsinks, and mount the board directly to the wall. Never had one of those fail.

Just a note on that stuff. It doesn't stick at all for about 3 minutes, and if it is moving at all during that time the bond will never be strong (so don't think you can hold it in place during cure).
