Yup. Particularly FireWire 800. This article from Xbit shows some nice data regarding interface speed differences.

Will Ford make it past this year?

They do seem handy. I have some friends that use them for personal and business use. For computer work they look especially roomy to hall around a lot of cases.

Will Ford make it past this year?

In my opinion, the Ford Flex looks better than the Honda Element. It has more of a sleek look with a slightly raked profile.

Small Rant / Warning about Eset NOD32

Oh. Well, then make it a Green Tea. Nits, thanks for the tip about NOD32, but my customers have not yet had a problem with the non-CD type installation. Usually I'm there, with their credit card, and create an account with Eset for them.

    WinXP 64-bit SP2 Released (+64bit Win2K3 Srvr)

As you know, if multi-threading is more important for the intended tasks than MHz, the 5160 is priced for me the same as the 5345. Those 2.5" 10K SAS drives must be neat. How are they temperature-wise?

HA! What I'd really like is a pair of RS1000s facing me with a Rocket Twin UFW-12 tucked away so that my entire block of condos can have the privilege of hearing Boston's Walk On medley. It'll also help scare the termites away. :)

What is that black thing that she takes out of the envelope with an audio file on it? Is that an old MP3 player, something before the iP*d? What are those black flat things with sleeves? Are those old fashioned business cards? They look awkward to carry around.

Some of those deals are nice, but I can't afford to spend that much money. Plus, I have no where to put more Rocket speakers. They won't fit in my book shelf, and the floor won't work either. :( But, I look forward to my new pair!

    Audio Equipment

Embarrassingly, these two speakers will be, by far, the most superior in my setup. The fronts are old Magnavox bookshelf speakers (I only have room for small book shelf speakers in the front) and the center is a Klipsh. The center speaker was a gift for some web work. Although it is a few...

    New Computer - Core 2 Duo 6400

eSATA issues and where I found the fix

eSATA issues and where I found the fix

Indeed, that is the conundrum. However, in my opinion, I believe 1394b will become more common. We do see 1394a as a standard on many motherboards now, but still no eSATA. From what I've seen and also been told, current eSATA compatibility is a wild chimpanzee. Probably the most compatible...
