SSDs - State of the Product?

Are there still long term read/write durability concerns with SSDs or is that all taken care of now? Seems like these things could last a long long long time if there are no moving parts.. C

I don't know wtf the point of avoiding a recession is anyway (i.e. via the stimulus package). Recessions are part of the natural order of things. They help level set the economy so we can then continue growth. Recessions are inevitable and everything we are doing to avoid them just makes...

I might just have to cave in. I was limiting myself to 1680x1050 because gaming FPS was something I cared about back then but now that gaming is not something I have time for, the higher resolution will be a nice thing. I have to learn more about flat panels. I know some are made with better...

What I miss about the Intel P4...

I agree that it is a pointless argument. Bozo just go buy a heater! :-) But, RW is correct. Assuming the 'office' is an insulated control volume/system, we must follow the first law of thermodynamics as well as the law of conservation of energy. Any energy flowing into the insulated control...

    I need a mouse

I really like the Logitech MX510. Wired, optical, not too pricey and has a nice feel. Mine is dark blue rather than red. The two thumb buttons are really convenient because they can act as back-forward in Firefox/IE/Windows Explorer (I'm sure most other mice do that too though).
