Still have NOT heard from Seagate.
I e-mailed the CS rep. @ the company they are working through and told them to cancel the order if it is not processed today. Will let you know if I hear anything.

Thinking about selling these cards and going to a single super powerful GPU.
Modded NVSilencers are preinstalled. Also have the OEM coolers and everything from the retail box. 500Mhz core, 1500Mhz Memory default speeds.

Actually, based on Merc's description of himself some years ago, I thought he'd look like this: :-)
Just goes to show that no matter how ugly and fat you think you are, there's always somebody, somewhere, to make you feel better. :-)
Pretty cool seeing pictures of you guys, especially Merc! Based on his description of himself I thought I would not even be able to look at the screen. Pretty normal lookin dude if you ask me.
Here's a few of my own:
a couple of me, some of our white trash party, my wifes car and my truck...
Anecdotal evidence that doesn't really say anything about current products. I guess you could base your next CPU purchase on how the AMD K5 performed but I doubt you'll do that. Over the past 5 years or so, I have really experienced a change in GM that will continue to prove the import lovers...
So.....you're going to base a future purchase decision on your difficulty in servicing two vehicles that you are not properly trained to work on, that are 9 & 7 years old and both no longer in production. There might be better criteria to use when making your purchase decision.
I've worked...
Well, it's great having someone who can follow instructions via e-mail. Saved me a trip...
He ran CPU burn for several hours with no errors so I don't think there were any CPU overclocking or heat issues.
Anyway, I had him go into the BIOS and stop overclocking the CPU (even though CPU Burn...
The mystery continues... my buddy told me that the system also locks when he tries to load iTunes as well. Hrm... ?
I gave him instructions on how to try the other items above but this is sounding weirder all the time...

Thanks merc.
All he's doing is video playback as far as I know.
The AIW is passively cooled out of the box (my requirement). All other fans seem to be working fine.
I will check those voltages you mentioned. I have the volt meter, do you just check them at the connector that you plug...
My buddy has the following system:
AOpen AK79D-400VN Socket A NF2 Ultra
3x512MB=1.5GB RAM
AthlonXP 2500+ @ 3200+
Radeon All-in-Wonder
Fresh install of XP Home with all WindowsUpdates
Drivers are all the latest.
The system runs fine other than when he tries to do stuff that's video related...
Thanks.
Since we're not sure how this drive developed some unreadable sectors, and now it seems fine after a fdisk and format, I think we'll just pick up one of the 120GB Seagates for $50 at BBuy (need local and quick) and use this Samsung as a backup.
I'm pretty sure the drive is over 4 years...
That's a lame process. I don't know how old this drive is (from a friends computer). Not worth the time sending it in just to see if it's covered (80GB, SP0802N).
I'm trying 8.0 right now and you are correct. It is only seen in the tray and can be scheduled to run on start-up or on shut down. Perfect. I'll have to see if the latest version is any better or worth the upgrade..

The external disk I bought for my Dad comes with Dantz (EMC) Retrospect 6.5.
It runs a service that automatically backs everything up to the external disk (incrementally) on a schedule set by me. Problem is, every time it runs, it launches in a maximized state disrupting what my Dad is...
