Just wanted to let you guys know that even though the Seagate website said they were OOS on the Eval hard drives, mine shipped the day after my order.
That 7200.1 really made a nice noticeable difference on my P3 500/512MB WinXP Pro laptop when upgrading from the 4200RPM 40GB Toshiba I had in...
What I meant was, can you do it just the upgrade with a legit upgrade CD/key on top of a pirated/corporate install? It's a lot cheaper to buy an upgrade CD rather than the full version..
Thanks,
C
Wow. Your utter ignorance about automotive design, engineering & manufacturing is really showing. You & Coug might want to limit yourself to typing about things you have first-hand knowledge of rather than looking at a buff-book and thinking you have knowledge about the industry. Do you...
Good info, Liam. Thanks. I thought the difference would not be noticeable (hench my choice of the word measurable) but I didn't know it is only about 1-2%. Maybe I'll bump up to 4GB after all. These QMD work units have given me something to blow my newegg GC on I guess...

Those Swiftech sinks usually have strong bolt down attachments with tensioning springs so you're probably good with respect to HSF seating unless there is physical damage to the M/B.
Several months ago, I read somewhere that using 4 sticks with A64 causes them to drop to 2T timing rather than 1T. Something to do with a limitation of the A64 on-die memory controller. Not sure if that is still a problem but that's the reason I'm using 2 1GB sticks now. Reports in various...
Do you have any reason to believe this is happening? Did you remove the HS/F for some reason. I don't think a power outage can cause anything to become loose.
I'm really excited about some of our upcoming products. '06 Impala is nice. I really like the interior and the available 300HP DoD (Displacement on Demand) V8 will make it a sleeper.
Here's a cool bit of info on the Z06.
Sky and Solstice will be very popular although production won't be...

The primary reason for that is that the bumper is mounted to the frame (not the body). The bumper reacts better in a crash when mounted to the frame and results in less damage to the front end sheetmetal (FESM). When the bumper is mounted to the FESM, there's obviously much more damage...
BTW, I saw the 900 at our build site. Sweeeeet! The interior is just plan awsome. I think I might be getting one of the big 'utes when their available.

Sorry. We can't get them out fast enough. Takes a long time to retool 9 assembly plants. GMT900's budget is bigger than the GDP of many countries.
My program just got pulled a considerable amount of time. More casual OT...
I don't get around here much as I'm too busy with other stuff. But I thought some of you may find this of benefit to your wallets. You can save some $eriou$ ca$h.

Yeah...I would not want to spend that much and teh native res. would probably be to high for games etc. This 20incher is just what the Dr. ordered for me. :)
Here is the new 'bad' cable connector which is Dual Link:
Here's the 'good' single link cable:
Is it OK to replace my single link cable with a dual link cable? I'll probably find the answer soon enough but I thought some might be interested nonetheless.
Thanks,
C
This is the one I'm now considering buying...

Have you guys ever run into a defective DVI-D cable? I bought a new one (15 feet) for my flat panel and the image on the screen is all distorted when I use it.. The brand is QVS and it's labeled as a DVI-D Digital Dual Link cable. It looks very similar to the cable that came with my monitor...
I'd like to get a new bezel for my Toshiba SD-M1402 DVD ROM drive.
Any ideas where I'd get one? I'm looking for black. I'd just paint my current bezel but I have about 3 coats on it already from the previous colors I've painted it. So I'd like to get a new bezel if I can...
Thanks,

Almost everything in there generates heat so I guess it depends on what devices get your cooling priority. PSU in the bottom is OK since it has a fan that blows the heat it generates outside the case. BUT, I can see what you're saying. With properly deisgned airflow in there, the heat rises...
EVERYTHING is removable...it just depends on how far you're willing to go.
Also, are there any modern drives that really require more cooling that this case will provide for them?
C
I think the price will be close to $200 at first because it will be really popular. Probably settle down to about $170 after a while. Just guessing though.
C
Hmm. I'll have to find out what that's all about.
My load times are probably closer to 30-40 seconds now that think about it...7k250's are decent I guess.
Sometimes it takes levels about 15-20 seconds to load. Is that normal for this game?
Not sure if it makes a difference but I'm running relatively high res (1680x1050) with all the good stuff turned on.
Thanks,
C
I have $100 in Newegg gift certificates to blow...maybe I'll throw in some extra cash and pick up one of these in March or so:
