Piyono, are you going to be creating or using files close to or larger than 4 GB? If so, FAT32 will not work for you.

Format 250GB Drive As Single FAT32 Volume?

Both FDISK and FORMAT should work. However, with the FORMAT command you'll need to enter the size as a percentage, not bytes.

Format 250GB Drive As Single FAT32 Volume?

If the BIOS supports the drive's LBA count, then you should be able to use a Windows 98SE diskette to make one large partition.

    Asus direct RMA procedure

Nope. I've had two Asus boards fail and I didn't see the cost effectiveness of trying to RMA them. I'm happy that my disti still has a decent supply of the GA-7VT600P-RZ boards. They work real nice with Sempron 2500+ CPUs and make for a great office system.

Recover/fix lost or corrupt data caused by DDO

Both operating systems will work with the correct Service Pack. Both benefit greatly by having 48-bit LBA support from the BIOS. I realize that you do not have an updated BIOS for your motherboard that would work, however, I would still recommend a BIOS that does. Either purchase a new...

DO NOT use DDO with an NT based operating system. DO obtain BIOS support for the drive.

Maybe Seagate. There are several players in the 2.5" market now, and hopefully the competition will help spurn the advancement in technology and help all manufacturers to be relatively close with capacity points. I am interested in seeing how this market is in Q4.

This is great news. Let's push away from 3.5" drives and make 2.5" mainstream for the desktop environment. Not only do the 2.5" drives use less power, they also generate less heat and noise, not to mention they use less enclosure real estate. Plus, they’re normally manufactured as portable...
