If you're happy with the individual frame quality you have now and just want to cut the frame rate, then you can load it into VirtualDub, and select "Frame Rate" from the Video menu. Then pick "Process every third frame (decimate by 3)." Hit OK, and pick "Direct Stream Copy" from the Video menu...

    Video Compression Batch Routine

It should be pretty easy to do with VirtualDub and DubMan to automatically schedule it, but I'm not sure how much space you'll be able to save by recompressing them. 1.2MB/min is already pretty low for 640x480@30fps.

    Small Fonts in KDE 3.2

The fonts are fine when I launch it from Gnome; it's just when I'm in KDE that they're tiny. And it's not limited to Firefox - it's any non-KDE app.

    Small Fonts in KDE 3.2

I recently installed Gentoo on an old Celeron 400. The install went fine and it's actually fairly responsive. The problem I have is that the fonts in KDE on non-KDE apps, such as Firefox, are microscopic, but in Gnome, they display the proper size. I search Google, and found this, and it helped...

    HDTV Cards

I have no complaints about the picture or sound quality of the card, as both are excellent. There's a bug between the Catalyst 4.2 drivers and interlaced resolutions with DxVA enabled, which was causing my reboots, but since I went back to 4.1, I haven't had any problems. Their file converter...

    HDTV Cards

I just installed the card, and some quick observations: If I run it in DxVA mode with the Catalyst 4.2 drivers, I get spontaneous reboots, but it runs fine in software mode. I'll try different drivers when I get time. With the Silver Sensor, I pick up CBS, NBC, FOX, ABC, 2 PBSs (1 does HD, and...

I saw that too. Mine's scheduled to come Monday, and I picked up a Silver Sensor indoor antenna today.
