That registry key just controls zeroing out the page file, it doesn't remove it or unallocate the space.
try changing the page file size to something small, then back to the original size. Maybe it will move it.
There are now alternative registrars. They have separate whois data from network solutions. So you have to go to http://whois.opensrs.net and type in the domain. My willrickards.net domain is in the same whois database. You get:

I voted one because that is all I use.
I do have a laptop that I used to use for work stuff but it is in a box with my computer books.
I also have the remains of two other computers.
There is also the parts for the new one for my dad that I'm slowly collecting.
Yeah, I think it is just something for their partners and all our requests just won't get filled. They'll probably figure it out soon enough. From what I can tell through web searches and checking out other boards, there are probably already hundreds if not thousands of people signed up.
Turn his office into a museum?
Rather start a museum with his collection of stuff.
Is there a computing museum (physical place where you can see the stuff working or trying to work)?
That makes me think of a correlation between windows and my medical problem - irritable bowel syndrome. Maybe windows has irritable code syndrome. If windows regulary takes its fiber (reboots? defrags? just plain attention?) and sticks to not too fatty foods (buggy software?) it is regular and...
The only mod I really want is a link on the main forum index to mark all topics read. There is one when you enter each forum but I usually like to mark all the topics read.
I'm still doing the distributed.net thing, just doing OGR.
If I could seemlessly install this folding thing as a NT service and not ever worry about it again.... I would consider it. But it looks like you have to use this firedaemon thing to do that. Maybe I'll play with it later.
Long ago, I registered willrickards.net with jumpdomain.com.
I use mydomain.com's free services to redirect traffic to my ISPs webspace and to route my mail to my ISPs mail accounts.
Let us start with the basics.
There are 'levels' of languages. These are really just levels of abstraction from the machine code they eventually get translated into.
At the lowest level is of course machine code, you know the 1s and 0s. At this level you are platform (processor) specific. A...
Well then there are the people like Mercutio...
Which raises the question: Do you program for a living? If so, do you plan on doing it indefinitely?
Handruin may not have been born to be a programmer. He may just want to learn to program for a more pragmatic reason. There is a middle ground.
I'd recommend taking a trip to your local college of choice. Go to their bookstore and see what book(s) they are using for the computer science intro class. I'd recommend using that. The 'learn this language in 21 days' thing will teach you the syntax of the language. It probably won't teach...
Most people can learn a language, like french or C. When you are new in a foreign language you do literal translations using a translation dictionary. This results in phrases that may get across the meaning and actually work but are not preferred. Someone who is immersed in the foreign...

So what should I use my computer power for now?
There is a real hassle when you pay good money to go to a psychologist and then have to see a psychiatrist just to get the Zoloft or Paxil or whatever it is you need. When you actually pay for you healthcare this means more than two office visits. Not only do you have to see the psychiatrist...
I d/l it last night. Haven't had a chance to test it out yet.
Mostly been rebuilding my PC.... there is a thread over at SR if you are interested in why.
I often go between periods of "TV sucks!" and "I love this show". I was thinking the other day that media as we know it sucks so bad because it is only a broadcast system. How much it would change if it were an interactive two-way consumer choice based system. Instead what we have is devices...
What you need is a word 2.0 to html converter.
Hmm... search on google.... here you go: http://word2x.alcom.co.uk/
List of word processor filters: http://www.w3.org/Tools/Word_proc_filters.html
looks really good.
I may be checking out that source too for educational purposes.
I would have chosen darker colors for the links and headings though but that is just personal preference.
Yes I read it but didn't see the information I provided which allows you to create your own IE6 install. This is how ISPs do it or anyone else that distributes IE6. I didn't follow any links because none were to microsoft's site.
In order to do this, you need to download the Internet Explorer Administration Kit and then create an install. I did this when I was making my bootable win2k SP2 slipstreamed install CD. Here is a linky.
I happen to be an expectant father.
You can get my info by running a whois on my domain willrickards.net
http://resellers.tucows.com/opensrs/
The baby is named Liam (William Stanley Rickards IV) and mother Lara.
Due date and more information is at http://www.willrickards.net/baby/index.html
You might want to remove your ftp links. They include your username and password to that site (you might want to change your password now). Switch them to http links. I'll e-mailed you the correct page.

So say I was to try and inject my code into a service process that isn't interacting with the desktop (no windows) using SetWindowsHookEx. Assuming I could get the ThreadId (is that even possible?) would this method even work since the process never creates any...
