    I'm surprised that it was slower. The fast one is the 512MB X1900XTX. I'm waiting, with antisipation, to see what the 2800 Series does. At the moment, I'm being disappointed with my current Linux SMP because the current WU's are all getting around 560PPD and I can do better with my AIW x1900...

    That temp is not going to cause a problem, since the CPU's are rated for 70C. That being said, I would not feel comfortable at 60C: I really don't like it at 55C, but I live with it.

    Well, it appears that SMP folding has had its PPD drop. As of today, a new p2908 WU has halved my PPD from 1000 to 500. Oh Well, it was a nice run, even though rather short.

    You are using a valid driver set: the 6.10 or the 6.11 should do fine. Ask CougTek, He has a x1650 too and thus can undoubtably hand hold you through a driver installation.
