    Disconnect issues with WRT54G

I know a couple folks here have them (Linksys' G AP, WRT54G) Has anyone run across "frequent disconnect" issues with this device? I have a couple of clients with APs that I've had to replace because their NICs "lose" their AP periodically. One of them is complaining about this now on his...

    Recycling Computer components

Does anyone actively recycle computer parts? The kind of recycling that's done for end-of-life parts, not "I swapped my old video card into one of my older computers." Dell and HP both have recycling services. Of course, if you visit their sites, you REALLY have to poke around to find anything...

    Utter weirdness with Access

Vanilla Win 2000 SP3 File and authentication server. I've only accessed it remotely, but it appears as vanilla as can be. It hosts some Access 2000 .mdb files that a small number of VB applications work with. The DBs are tables-only. No macros, no code. I've been using the apps with test data...

    Why doesn't anyone make...

Why doesn't anyone make a keyboard with a smallish LCD (12 or 14 inch) attached? I can think of at least five or six applications for that in as many seconds, even more if someone can make the video signal run over CAT5. Why doesn't anyone make a remote control that can be programmed or...

I am not smart enough to call Australia

I know of no other way to explain it. I thought I might, just to do something different, ring RedHill in the middle of its business day, which happens at about 11PM according to the clock on my wall. So I dialed the number using the instructions I found on dataandtime.com. Didn't work. "Your...

Title says it all. Two of the Walgreens in my area (both the ones I've been in today) have 15-packs of 4x DVD+R discs for $32. You can get 4x discs cheaper in bulk, but they usually cost $2 apiece in small quantities, without shipping charges, so this is a pretty good deal.

Yup. That's right. USB 2.0 doesn't mean what we think it does. Isn't that funny?
