I disable it as much as possible. Though in Win10 they don't let you disable it entirely (which is absurd).

I really don't want a full sized reciever in my office. The volume knob on the daskeyboard works fine. The rest would be nice, but I don't need an amp, either. Something the size of a paperback would be ideal.

Rough volume control is on the speakers and sub. Fine tuning is on the PC itself. No proper crossover; I let the monitors handle whatever they want and adjusted the sub to fill in where I thought it needed it.

Finally switched from LG, the V30 was great, but the Note 9 swayed me. Huge (bright) screen, huge battery. Sold.

I still just have the Phantom Pro 3. Decent image quality, but I like the new features of the newer models. The software is getting a bit difficult, though. So many places are geo-locked, and bypassing that is getting more difficult.

Can you elaborate on "deadening the room too much"? I don't know a lot about this stuff, and my assumption was that I want the sound coming from my speakers.

Nice. I've gone a bit nuts with acoustic panels in the last 7 years or so. Adding more always seems to make things better. 30sqft+ in the office at this point. The wall closest and the wall behind (where the speakers are pointed) seem to make the most difference.

Me, too. I'd happily take a phone 3mm thicker for 25% more battery. No idea on the replacements; I don't keep phones that long.

A non-replaceable is unfortunate, but looking for one with a replaceable battery forces too many other compromises.

Yup. I don't even bother charging at night anymore. Just connected sitting in the cradle when I'm driving keeps mine in the 50-90% range most of the time.
