Indeed. And then you have folks like Scott Manly who just upgraded for the first time in years to a 970. I'm trying to talk him into streaming at 4k.

He calls it a 5.25", but it looks to only be a slimline optical. I don't see a need for either myself.

Microsoft Storage Spaces vs. RAID Level

So the upside is the ability to add and remove drives from the array, and to specify arbitrary logical capacities. The downside is crap performance? That is unfortunate. Time to sync off all the changes and go back to a proper RAID.

Microsoft Storage Spaces vs. RAID Level

My first assumption was that there was some equivalency here; with "No Resiliency" meaning RAID0, and the other options stepping through RAID5, RAID6, and RAID1. This was further reinforced when I added a 4th drive to my "no resiliency" pool; the OS asked if I wanted to optimize drive usage and...

I bought and installed the Pioneer AppRadio SPH-DA210 in my car and it sucks. Only a couple apps work, only in a crippled mode, and only if you have it plugged in. The mapping app won't work until you have the external GPS antenna connected, and you need to change the keyboard on your phone to...

I was hoping it would give me the car computer capabilities I'm after. The thing that is about to cause me to pull the plug is that my screen won't sleep as long as the computer is connected, even though AirMirror won't work because my phone isn't rooted. No traffic and the battery is half gone...

I prioritize weight over all else. These are light enough that even with just the pads for contact the total pressure it probably much lower. http://www.nikevision.com/products/detail/nike-4192/#13892_007 Nah, when the kid is in (my parents) house the cat isn't. Hence the wine stand.

Nope, that is the pre-order. No one knew how much it was going to be until the pre-order went up. There were issues with their site right at the buzzer (naturally), so I was 26 minutes in. On one page during the order they mentioned May as a delivery date.

New. Lenovo servers configured by them. Much faster turn around than Lenovo themselves, always have stuff in stock, and if you really spec a system up (24x SSDs, for example) they will be much cheaper.
