    4k TVs and Monitors

I have no doubt the quality of this was awful. None of the content delivery companies (Comcast, DirecTV, etc) give enough bandwidth to anything. I often think that YouTube 1080P streams are actually higher bandwidth than most things those guys are calling "HD".

I had a similar experience lately, but they were playing standard Blu-ray disks. I had to explain to them that if the content isn't 4k, they aren't getting much. They were unhappy that this hadn't been explained to them when they were up-sold at the store.

    Shingled drives and backup hardware

This has me interested, but I haven't used Windows for storage in so long that I am completely unfamiliar with the storage spaces concept. A quick look seems to indicate that it manages pools (like ZFS) with variable amounts of redundancy. I really like this. Does it support cache drives...

    Shingled drives and backup hardware

I wouldn't trust any single enclosure with my data. Even a massive NAS would be backed up daily to another unit at another site. Therefore all you risk with less redundant systems is some downtime, not data. For home use 48 hours of downtime is acceptable.

I don't need hot-swap, and was looking at the enclosures at 45drives.com. Their base model (30 drives) with backplanes and a custom wiring harness for a Corsair HX power supply comes in at just under $1k. Of course, they also offer a maxed out turnkey 60x 6TB solution for $35k.

Sorry, didn't elaborate. Set up both WANs in failover. Disconnect the one you don't want to try. At any point if you are unhappy with the service, just plug in a cable to get the other service going again.

    WiFi Access Point suggestions

Not particularly. My experience with Android, Windows, iOS, and OSX are all about the same. They maintain a list of APs and that list has priorities assigned to them. Of all the APs available, it will choose the one highest up the list rather than the one with the highest strength.

    WiFi Access Point suggestions

You added both the APs to the same config, right? This will automatically give them both the same SSID/password and makes them play pretty well together. How low the reception needs to get before it jumps is an open question.

PG&E has made it really easy provided you are supplying less than 40kW and that the amount you are supplying is <15% of the total capacity of your service (up to 7.2kW in my case, which I will be right at). SSDs - State of the Product?

Nope. The venue had a nice place for pictures, and some of the guests were only there for the day. Even the smallest of the batteries we've linked will manage a full day, they at least double battery capacity. LG G4 ships with 2.9Ah. Even assuming a 50% loss from self-discharge and conversion (way pessimistic), anything larger than their tiniest will get you there.
