I want to buy a new car

Indeed. The Chrysler hack used the cellular network (I forget which one) that is built into the car, so you don't need to be anywhere near the car to hack it. WiFi hacks would probably be easier.

    Long-distance GPU shopping

I can completely see your point time, and we'll see how that GTX 970 Mini works as it is arriving Monday. Worst case we'll machine out the side of the case (I know of a metalshop near him). I built the system ages ago, but I can't imagine I put in less than a 450W PSU.

Met someone yesterday who is renting a fiber run from a carrier hotel in San Jose and bringing it to an office building 0.7 miles from my house with clear line of sight. I've already committed to 100/100 worth of his Gig. The speed is fine, but the latency of my workstation being 6 hardware...

    Long-distance GPU shopping

A long time ago I built a gaming rig for a friend who has since moved away. It is a toaster-sized rig, but I have no idea the spec other than that it is running an ATI 4770. He now needs a new GPU, but I need to send it to him sight-unseen. What I'm looking for is a 100% compatible upgrade to...

    Windows 10

The best storage density is probably these 512GB SD cards anyway. And at 90MB/s they shouldn't slow your workflow. Of course, a Pelican SD card case full of them (6TB worth) would run $10k.

I don't think a decade is too much to expect from an interior these days. The glass has UV filters and and the cabins are pretty well insulated (less extreme temps).

I want to buy a new car

The worst-case has pretty much already happened. A Model S ran over some metal in the road that managed to penetrate the Kevlar and slash several cells of the battery pack open. The driver immediately got a notification to stop the car and get out. A couple minutes later the car burned to the...

I want to buy a new car

Assuming you mean when it comes to warranty? So long as the car is serviced at a dealership during the warranty period no one will raise an eyebrow. You can even service the car yourself without voiding the warranty so long as all service items are performed, provided you can show that the...

Good enough. I remodeled a bar recently, 3x 65" and 1x 42" TVs, each with their own DirecTV Ultimate package. Unfortunately, due to the arrangement of the space, it is impossible to to watch any of them while sitting at the bar without turning around. The seating area however has great coverage.

Waze is the best at traffic at the moment IMHO. Start by giving it your destination and then have a look at the ETA of the various routes for any surprises. Before the 100-400II I had a 170-500 Sigma that was complete crap. I'd get better shots using my 180 Macro and cropping. 300mm is not particularly bad for birding, as Lunar said there is no substitute for getting closer.
