Ever wanted to know the thoughts of car fans?

Certainly, but having the clutch pressed down isn't gonna hurt. How long does it take to lift the clutch? :-?

Ever wanted to know the thoughts of car fans?

The funny thing to point out is that I initially failed my driving test because of "improper use of clutch". They fail you if you press it down at over 1000rpm when coming to a stop. Apparenty it causes "loss of control over the car" or something ridiculous... Perhaps on a heavy loaded old car...

Ever wanted to know the thoughts of car fans?

Personally I never put it in neutral unless I'm stopped for unusually long periods, or if I'm in the front at a pedestrian crossing in which case I put on the handbrake as well. I had a friend once who was in gear with his foot on the brake and clutch at a crossing when someone rammed him from...

Ever wanted to know the thoughts of car fans?

You should drive the old version of the Corsa as we call it here. That was one of the most horrid cars on the planet, very bouncy ride, no room for anything or anyone inside, cornered on the door handles, and the base version was a miserable 1.2 8v unit that developed... wait for it.... 45hp! 60...

My burner's bezel is broken because of OpenOffice :(

you're crazy, Merc... that said, I did boot my Celeron 333 when I was running Win98 first edition and faulty memory... not much damage though as I kicked the bottom of the case.

    Best Power Supply From . . . ?

I like the Antecs. Pretty quiet and good quality. As I've become a reseller for quiet stuff, I've had the chance to test the Zalman 400W PSUs... they're extremely well built, weigh a ton, and are very quiet. I mean really quiet, even under load. They look infinitely cool as well with that black...

    V-Box Problem

What I never understood is why they don't make heatpipes like that which will utilise the entire case for dissipation. It would not be easy on a normal case for several reasons, the key reason being that each side panel etc is removable and separate from the rest, but certainly a suitable case...

Need for a "Toolbox Reference Section" ?

Whats the problem of providing a link to the apps own page on the manufacturer/authors website? I have some webspace I can donate, its not much, I can spare around 100mb, and I have a 2gb limit per month, but anyway IIRC most of these apps aren't that big right?

    [NEWS] - Barracuda 7200.7 review

Not very impressive drive. The older 'Cudas were slow but had the low noise that made them of some use. The new 'Cuda is neither fast nor very quiet. :-?

    yeah, Hitachi serves us right.

They also made a 75Gb version... which it is possible Mercutio had as he does have lots of storage.

CityK, Thanks, I tried that when I was checking out all the options, IIRC there are three options, create, delete and resolve conflicts. Because I only have one drive hooked up it won't let me into the submenu of any of the options... But I'm more concerned about getting the CDRW on there as...

    A7N8X S-ATA questions

Hi, I didn't try boot from SCSI which I guess is pretty obvious but hey I'm tired :) The reason I want to use my writer on the S-ATA channel is because: a) It now shares a cable with a hard drive, which causes the burnproof to kick in if I want to do something "heavy" on the drive it shares a...

    A7N8X S-ATA questions

Hi, I'm wondering how to boot off the Silicon Image S-ATA controller on the A7N8X deluxe. There is no option either in the system BIOS or the S-ATA BIOS which seems to concentrate on creating RAID arrays only. Any ideas? Manual says nothing about it. Thanks

    2 Nforce2 or ¬ 2 Nforce2

I've got to say, my A7N8X Deluxe and a friend's Shuttle SN41 both work fine (for the time being at least). The article implies that this is a standard problem with these boards, but it seems its probably only true under some circumstances, or some batches?

    2 Nforce2 or ¬ 2 Nforce2

The heatsink on the Asus northbridge hardly gets warm at the 145MHz FSB that I had it set to. However, the southbridge gets hot enough to cause serious burns even at stock speed so I glued on a small heatsink to it and now its much cooler.

baked Apple of a different kind.

All half decent A/C units these days use "inverter" technology. I know the cheap one we had fitted in around 97 or 98 runs constantly and adapts its power accordingly.
