We thought the same thing at the same time. See my post in that thread. I don't think Eug & Dave could have done that though. It must be a problem with the site host rather than something from the site's owners.

    Coffee

Now that's awful for the health. Coke is partly responsible for America's obesity. It contains a lot of calories and without you noticing, you gain pounds after pounds. And a typical coke contains about half of the caffeine of a normal coffee, so what you're taking is like up to 6 coffee a...

    Building a dirt-cheap HTPC....

Since my very poor experience with Optorite on their CD-writer, I'm always very skeptical about their products. I think Mercman has written their DVD-writers are ok, so maybe they've improved. [NEWS] - Apple launches iPod mini 20 years after Mac

While I don't think the latest iPod is an item of great interest among our membership, I'll give Apple its minute of glory on our front page since I rarely pay attention to them. BTW, did the original Mac has really been released only 20 years ago? That was written in the newspaper here this...

Why do you call a ring a ring if it's square.

I'm talking about a boxing ring. I've never seen a circular "ring". To me, it would make more sense if we would say : "The boxers enter the square" instead of : "The boxers enter the ring". Explanation?

    [NEWS] - Athlon64 3400+ in stock for 440$ shipped.

And the review at X-bit Labs. The review tells us two things : 1. The Athlon 64 3400+ performs on average within 2% of the much more expensive Athlon FX-51 and better than both the Pentium 4 3.2GHz and Pentium 4 Extreme Edition, although slightly for the second. 2. PC Mark is the absolute...

    opininos on Asrock mobo

Coug And the point of the additional 4 pins 12V connector is to provide additional current to the motherboard and probably also to give a better current distribution on the mainboard, since there's more than one source for the 12V supply. That's more or less the same reason why there is more...

ECS K7S5A Pro uses double-sided tape on NB heatsink

I did at length several months ago. I do not trust dual phase voltage regulation as much as three phase regulation, especially for +70W processors. There's no 12V ATX connector on the Asus either. I think I had another bone against it, but I don't remember. The above two are very important...

Are you able to get Shuttle boards easily where you are? Their KM400 seems better to me than what you described for the Asrock. Probably less picky about RAM AND both 3 phase VRM and the 4 pins 12V ATX power connector Take a look at it : picture of Shuttle MK40VN. One bad thing about it is...

ECS K7S5A Pro uses double-sided tape on NB heatsink
