We've started with the training wheels on, at least until he gets a feeling for the brakes and these things. But I left the wheels in the most upward position so he can find the balance when he gets up to speed.

It depends, I think most people would enjoy a glass of Bruichladdich or Bowmore. It's the distilleries on the south coast, Ardbeg, Lagavulin and Laphroaig that makes the peaty stuff. :nono: :nono: ;) I can't drink or even smell Irish whiskey, they only smell and taste alcohol. I don't like all single malts either, but a good whisky shouldn't taste alcohol at all and it's usually bottled at >=43%.

You could always try it at a bar before you get a whole bottle. The Macallan has a very special character, it's not bad but I don't think it tastes like whisky.

It's a German car, so you should probably be glad that they haven't put the activation of the turn signal somewhere under some rotating-knob-sub-menu. I like German engineering, but they are also experts at creating bad UIs.

No, but a CD player from lets say 2008 is better than a CD player from 1983. Why? It's the same 1s and 0s coming out of the CD-player. ;) And I remember one time when an upgrade of Winamp resulted in a radical drop in the CPU usage, so of course different media players have different algorithms...

Not really, both the apples and the oranges introduces distortions into the sound chain. The only difference is that one of them is more obvious.

That's probably a good idead. You should check out the Naim HeadLine, it's "only" a headphone amp and requires one of their power supplies. But the sound should be OK. ;) By the way, I got the family a pair of AKG K420s but they are still in the box. One plan is to connect them to my old Linn...
