Yup. The general rule with PCIe is the same as USB; if it will fit, it will work (possibly at some lower performance level)

My 3TB drive from the Egg arrived this morning. Packaging was awesome. Waiting for the other 3 to arrive from somewhere else.

I've only once tried to build a quiet rackmount system, and failed quite badly. They just aren't set up for it. Those drive enclosures take a 92mm fan swap really well.

I typically put in a pair of these. 10 SATA hotswap isn't bad.

For cheap servers, where I just need a computer in a rackmount chassis, I use this one. It has 6 5.25" bays in it. Having 20 2.5" SSDs and 4 2.5" HDDs for backup would be a pretty potent VM storage array.

Just ordered three from futurepowerpc (the only company that had them in stock and no ordering limit) and one from Newegg with a 3Ware 9650SE RAID card. We'll take a look at compatibility issues when it gets here.

The computer is not windows/unix/anything I could work with. It is an ancient RTOS that can't be negotiated with. Anything that can take the output of it's LPT port and get it to the Centronics port on the back of the Okidata exactly as transmitted is acceptable, but it needs to be transparent...
