Unless I missunderstand you, that will not work. You need a momemtary switch. When I put an atx power supply into my AT case I had to use the reset switch for power up. I used the turbo switch for reset and just hit it twice.

This may be old news for some. Apparently with AMDs MOESI cache coherency protocol, processors in a multi-processor system can read from each others cache. Intel chipsets have a design choice/weakness that makes this either very difficult or impossible...
