Hopefully it's just a dick waving exercise and not a sign of things to come. :rambo:Yeah I don't know what made them choose APS-H, but will that mean a possible full-frame sensor at 180MP in the future?

Isn't that past the JPEG size limits? I wonder what the RAW file size would be.
Sure they do. They output the data that came directly from the sensor. Since they're not a Foveon type sensor they don't have RGB data for every pixel which makes them smaller than an uncompressed TIFF.Canon bodies do not currently output uncompressed RAW files.
Shade and a reflector.
That fisheye zoom also looks pretty interesting. I also like the "by-the-way" mention of the 60D.
Canon EF-S bodies are aligning with Nikon DX bodies in market categories. The 60D is the equivalent to a Nikon 90D or what will replace it soon and the 7D is the equivalent of the D300s or what will replace it.
I find that interesting, as the two companies used to stagger their products so they wouldn't directly compete. I think they will go in separate directions with respect to the EVIL segment, however, with Canon going more towards the Sony A55 compact dSLR style and Nikon towards the mirrorless big P&S m4/3 style.
Took advantage of a clear night sky and a shiny new TC-80N3 to grap a bunch of star shots. Sending them through DeepSkyStacker now; it is giving my laptop quite a workout!

I finally opened up the second one. Preliminary indications are better, but I have yet to test it with a long tele. The display reads a bogus value of 999 frames remaining with the new 32GB card installed. Dimwit Canon engineers must be mathematically challenged.
