Connecticut is the state that doesn't exist. Oh, the land is there, and there are a lot of pretty props, but it's all fakes. Really, it's a vast wasteland to cover up the fact that the goverment has a lot more people who are the product of secret research than they'd like to admit. Gengineered people, Jacob's Ladder-like test subjects, electronic-brained people like the kid in D.A.R.Y.L., cyborgs, half-aliens, full aliens masquerading as humans, bred psychics, shamans, sorcerers, and the occasional freak with more control over his eyebrow muscles than any person should have are all products of this top-secret research, and these people all need phony backgrounds so they can fit into society. If you know someone who is from Connecticut, claims to have lived in Connecticut, or says their family lives in Connecticut, they're part of a government project, and the home in Connecticut is just a cover for whatever underground lab or research facility really spawned them.
