The Samsung 990 Pro is coming. Unfortunately the 4TB will not be out until 2023.
PCIe 4.0’s highest theoretical sequential read speed is 8000 MB/s — 990 PRO reaches 7,450 MB/s as of Q3 2022.
I'm literally on EDGE according to phone and 9000ft. Every 50m up or down creates LOS.Reported health of the drives dropping significantly with very little usage.
Nobody did SLC NVMe for client SSDs AFAIK. The 950 Pro and 970 Pro were MLC. Everything after the 970 Pro was TLC. Even the 980 non pro is TLC but DRAMless. On the QLC / MLC/ TLC note, is there anyone still doing SLC NVMe's? or are those pretty much $$$$$ enterprise only devices these days?
I see Kioxia have a few interesting NVMes ( https://apac.kioxia.com/en-apac/personal/ssd/exceria-pro.html )?
