I am PC-less, have been for a month now.
My 2nd daughter said she needed something to allow her to work from her home, and offered to buy my PC. As I needed some cash to have my roof fixed, I accepted her offer.

That certainly is a crummy thing to hear.
I gave double blood today. They take a bunch of your blood, put it in a centrifuge to separate out the red blood cells, and the pump your plasma back into your arm. They can get double the red blood cells this way although it takes a lot longer because they have to do the whole process twice in order to prevent you from looking like a prune.
One of my best friends from work got on the Regis & Kelly talk show. Their daughter won a cutest baby contest. She will be on the cover of Parenting Magazine (or one of those mags) in June/July.

I am sick. Physically, I mean, not the other way you all know about.
It started around noon. I feel like I'll shit my hearth and puke the remnants. I think it's an indigestion. I probably ate too many fruits last evening and this morning. I tought I didn't eat enough fruit during the past few weeks and I bought a lot last time I did the groceries. I guess my body has been overwhelmed by the sudden fibers and vitamins spike. I basicly ate nothing since this morning after my fruit lunch. I feel weak and I have zero energy. All the food I have is hard to diggest (steak, brown bread, cereales, ...fuk'n fruits and vegetables) so I'm kinda screwed. I hope it'll pass soon or that I'll pass out soon. I just want to see the end of it. I'm almost never sick (maybe once a year). I truely feel sorry for Buck and Eric if you feel like I do now each day of your lives.
It was beautiful outside today. Unfortunately, the only landscape I've seen was the one I can see from my bedroom for the past what...twelve hours. Oh and the magnificent wall I can watch when I'm leaving a few internal organs down the bowl in my bathroom.

And this is the first time I don't PUI for a few years. I'm always under cafeine effect otherwise.

Coug, that sucks. I hope by the time you read this you are feeling better.
Today was hot; like 75F hot. I don't like it that hot. It should be back to 71F tomorrow (perfect) But we went for a walk anyway. "The Dish" above Stanford is a beautiful 3.5mi walk that is quite pleasant despite the 1500+ people a day that take it. From a single point you can see San Francisco, San Jose, and Oakland, as well as everything in between. It makes me want to get into photography quite badly. Next weekend we'll be taking a longer hike off of Skyline Blvd (the ridge between the SF bay and the ocean). That is where I normally go rock climbing (I can lead up to a 5.11a) and hope to get the GF to climb outside the gym sometime soon. We'll be buying a 2-person tent and some boots for her tomorrow.

Yesterday was the 12th day of Autumn here and it reached 98F in the city and 100F in the suburbs. However, it wasn't too bad at all because for once, the humidity was relatively low (down to 30% at 2pm).

Yesterday I taught a class for my boss's rich friends (wife of a baseball player, wife of the guy who owns the biggest regional bank, wife of the dude who owns half the car dealerships in my part of Indiana... you get the idea) and for some of my co-workers. Not that it's terribly relevant but the class was on monitoring and controlling computer use for children.
One of the women was in her mid-40s, wearing a size-too-small T-shirt with a low V-neck. She also had some kind of push up bra on. And implants. HUGE implants. DDs, probably. 110lb. women do not have breasts like that and having looked at a great deal of internet pornography I can make that statement with some authority.
She sat in the front row of the class, directly in front of me, and spent the whole class time fiddling with the neckline of her shirt, or squeezing her folded arms under her chest or leaning forward or pushing on the push-up or... you get the idea. Every time I looked down she was doing something.
I made a conscious effort to look over her head to the other people in the class.
So I got to work today and found out that my boss's friend apparently "Felt uncomfortable about the amount of time I spent looking at her breasts" in class yesterday. I got read a riot act about how I should not be doing anything to make women feel uncomfortable and how I need to ignore any unwelcome behavior and, and, and, and...
I asked if anyone noticed what she was doing during the class. No. No one did.
I asked if they noticed what she was wearing. No (they could describe colors and fabrics but completely missed the plunging neckline and baby-ass-looking cleavage, go figure).
I asked them if they would consider that the behavior *I* witnessed made *me* uncomfortable. Not relevant.
I asked if there was anything I could say that would make this in any way better. No.
I think I am going to start teaching classes blindfolded from now on.

Hindsight of course, but the only thing I can think of would be to seek a moment in private with the boss before the class, pointing out the issue and how it would complicate things. Not that it's likely to make anything better, but it's the only thing I can think of.
She wanted to be noticed, and to have something to talk about with her friends. You (to her) are unimportant and expendable, so she was able to use you to get attention for herself. You don't get implants like that unless you want (are desperate for) more attention.

Picked my Ex- and her wife up from the airport last night. They went to Vegas for a week.
The whole time I was sitting in the cell phone lot I was thinking "Why the hell did I drive all the way over here to do this in the middle of the #$#%@ing night?" Two in the morning, at ORD, and it's still a clusterfuck, in case anyone was wondering.
First thing my ex- does when she finally gets in my car, is to hand me one of those plastic cases that one puts stacks of collectible cards (baseball cards, Magic: The Gathering, whatever) in.
"What are these?", I asked.
"Hooker trading cards!"
And they were. I just got a chance to look at them. They are glossy and have naked women (with dots or stars or something covering the strategically important areas). Instead of a team name, they have a price (highest I have is $95, lowest $25) and what they're willing to do and/or specialties. No Hooker statistics on the back ("Look, she had 86 pearl necklaces in '04!"), only phone numbers. Some of them say "Actual Entertainer Photo." The rest must've used a stunt-hooker for the photo.
My ex collected 60 or so of them for me, knowing full well that I would find them hilarious.
I think the world is a better place with Hooker trading cards.

FYI we don't use the cel phone lot for ORD. Instead we stop at the Tri-state toll 'oasis' just south of 190. It's just 3 or 4 minutes further from the arrival pickup area and you have free wireless access + all the comforts of Starbucks, Panda Express, and the like.
