I didn't know you had kids. I'll have been married 2 years in October so not very long. Most people think I'm around 30 so you are in good company. Ice and ibuprofen work wonders.
Yeah, I'm still taken for at least a good decade younger than I am, if not more. The bike riding plus good genetics probably does it (mom is only ~15% gray at 75). If/when I can afford a hair transplant (male pattern baldness runs in the family) that will probably take another ~10 years off my appearance.

Sure, but that is only the distribution of those agreeing to take the poll. I wouldn't take it.

It is interesting. What I found most interesting is that the average age of visitors is 32, I'm 33, and 70% of visitors are younger than I am. This implies that the distribution it mostly much younger, but trails off to a very high number.

I'll be 66 in July and took the poll, so I screwed up the average.

I found a studio that's producing porn content in 4k. That's mildly interesting if only because, other than a few clips on Youtube or Vimeo or one particular S*ny streaming device that only works with S*ny TVs, there's no commercial source for 4k content. Porn still sits at the forefront of new media adoption.

The clips look pretty good at 2560x1600. :D

Do we really need more resolution? :erm:
OTOH, I'm glad you seem to be doing better.

I had a little dialogue with the devinsupertramp folks about getting a better copy of their 4k content with a similar license to the Tom Lowe stuff. They said the only arangements they currently do are commercial, limited time, and $20k+. Shame.

I can't say I'm terribly surprised. They've managed to make a name for themselves on YouTube and are now trying to make some real money. If they didn't have in mind selling high res content when they made some of their various clips, doing so now would probably be cost prohibitive from a time standpoint.

Those guys are talented videographers, but if you're using crane and helicopter shots and have shit tons of money wrapped up in cameras, lighting and stabilized mounts, you're probably to be able to pull off some pretty nice projects.

Those Lindsey Stirling videos, shot on site in New Zealand or some national park someplace, probably have bigger budgets than most of the stuff that airs on cable TV.

This is what happened tonight @ Laguna Seca: Liza, a metal object, and millions of dollars in Mercedes. The back row was all SLS Black and SLS GT.

Nah, a buddy was running the BBQ and gave her tongs to play with. She then proceeded to start running near all the cars swinging them around. I kept her safely clear, but may have freaked a few AMG people out.

I'm sorry. Are you receiving some treatment or just waiting?

There's no actual treatment. I have done a lot of tests to see if I have other problems, but nothing can be done for my eye. If it doesn't get better on its own, I can elect to use a specially curved lens for my glasses that will prevent the overlap in my vision, but doing so will more than likely eliminate the possibility of my eye getting better on its own.

Bummer. :( Aren't you wearing a patch or dark glass for driving?

I have a cover for my lens, but since I live along one of the busiest travel corridors in the midwest (Interstates 80, 94 and 65 are all within a few miles), I try to confine myself to surface streets. People do stupid things on the expressways. I really only wear the cover when I'm driving. Supposedly, using my distance vision as much as possible with both eyes should be helping, and since I don't get that at all during my work day, I've been doing things like walking six miles back and forth to get groceries. I haven't found that it's helping yet, though.

Didn't you know that the internet is for porn?

All kidding aside, that's hilarious. I still don't have anything that can do 1080p, but they have 4k porn now?

About that poll, was I included in this or what? I'm 15, turning 16 next month, so I might be an outlier in the other direction.

When I was your age, I had already had a subscription to Playboy for a almost two years. And my parents knew about it.
The condition was that I had to prove I was READING it, but at the time it was interesting enough that wasn't really a problem.

I almost got thrown out of my high school's AP classes for citing a Playboy article in a paper during my sophomore year. My English teacher REALLY didn't like that.

I no longer have a car and since my bike broke on the same day that I got rid of my car, I am now a pedestrian. Good thing I only live within a 20-minute walk of my job.

As a matter of fact, it is currently hotter here than in Chicago, Toronto, Detroit, New york, Boston and Los Angeles. You have to go to places like Phoenix, anywhere in Texas or in Florida to find a hotter Hell. Not pleasant at all.

Somewhere in time.
Tennessee is the hub for FedEx, IIRC. Packages and letters go there from all over the US, and then head back to the destination. If you send a letter by FedEx from Hollywood to Pasadena, it'll go to Tennessee and then come back. This is because way back, when private firms like FedEx and UPS got into the courier business, the US govt. wanted to protect the USPS, so they made these arcane rules to make it difficult for them to compete. But they did, and how.
