WD has a teensy little oops

For those of us not in IT I assumed the options are more limited. The last time I checked the costs escalated and over 50TB required a business plan. The recovery costs were quite high for the hard drives.

    Android phones: Tips, tricks?

I'm sure the Google doesn't do anything without a reason and to be profitable. I just naturally distrust the smartphones. I have to assume that the Google is spying on me, like Amazon and everyone that has a connected device. My personal compters have no A/V for that reason.

Hasn't Apple had that for years or is it different? I see all the older folks "drop shipping" files to others nearby, whether phone, tablet, or laptop. Maybe I'm mistaken. I would never send anything to the Google unless it were business related.

A good telescope and GEM are not cheap but not crazy high either compared to many hobbies. Some advocate Alt-Az and ignore rotation, using stacking/software, but it's not the same. That COSPlay seems like something kinda weird. What do psychologists call that? Many people were using the A1...

Panoramas are sometimes exceedingly difficult to capture and process well. I'd put it up there with some other technnical work like astrophotography (telescopes on GEM, not wide-angle nighttime landscapes) or microphotography. Obviously it's not always the case, such as every Bozo with a cell...

The problem with good insulation is that it keeps all the heat and humidity in. I find that in a medicorely insulated place that I turn on the AC to 70°F when the temperature outside is >55°F. That must be all due to internal energy. If the home were well insulated, it would be worse.

The new FW 1.81 for the R5 doesn't do much but allow for 9x sampling (via IBIS) and produces 400MP jpg files. RAW is not allowed. There was substantial bogus hype surrounding the update. Of course many folks are upset with Canon rather than the sleaezy vloggers that invent the ridiculous...

    NUC 13 Out of Whack

I would not have complained about having an H series. ;) Yet there must have been room for 2280 so that we could use a leftover M.2 SSD instead of that stupid 42mm length. Those goofy small towers that are NUC Extreme make even less sense.

Firmware will not change the slow scan ES (rolling shutters) of the R5 nor the 12-bit A/D in ES. It won't fix the spot AF either. I expect that Canon will make the FW of the R5 more similar to the others for the AF controls, videos, etc. but that won't help me much.
