I've hurt my lower back at the gym, doing chest fly, go figure. No matter what my real age is, I'm officially 85 until I heal. That what I look like everytime I lift my ass from a chair, anyway.

Maybe once in a while, but 10$ per person per meal is too expensive for me. My 21 weekly meals cost me more around 140$ per week. That's including restaurants. And I eat big portions (due to my training).

Confirmed : VMWare is affected. Not particularly happy to be a network administrator right now. Edit : But ESXi doesn't seem to be affected. That's what we've used most of the time. Phew.

Hmmm...so ESXi must be affected to. We have several setups running on this at many customers' locations. All the servers I maintain at the office run on Server 2012 R2, so I'm clear on this one. Except my two VM that only crunch FAH units. I'll update them during the week-end if a fix...

If you look at the stats, both my production and Handruin's have been falling. My servers don't seem to get big units anymore. Something similar must happen to the GPU client since Handruinis affected too. I haven't been checking Stanford's forum, but there must be an answer there somewhere.

You beat me, but not by much. I left work at 3h45am this morning (Sunday). I had to untangle the network connections of our patch panels to the switches. Of course, this has to be done during off hours, when no one's working (except me). I've started at 9pm last evening. It was a real mess...

    Nvidia GTX 980 & GTX 970 announced

That is my question as well. I might lose my two DL380p any day now (it might be Monday like it might be in three months), but my contribution is doomed to fall drastically. I'll need something else to replace them. One or two GTX 970 probably won't equal the 20-core servers, but it should...

    Thank You Google Fiber

Bringing the cost close to what it would be to wire everything in fiber. Typical public sector logic. We have to link two offices together with fiber. More than a third of the price is for the engineering. At least 80% of the rest is man-hours. The medium cost itself is negligeable. So...
