time, I really wanted to relate, so I queued up all the songs you listed. Unfortunately I couldn't finish any of them. I suppose in order to connect so directly with a group of listeners one might need to abandon the rest? Of course, my tastes include practically nothing from the late 70s to...

Not disagreeing, I just don't want to be the legal case that decides it. When the police roll up I'll be able to cite the guidelines and show a fancy registration card that says everything is ok.

Microsoft Storage Spaces vs. RAID Level

RD650 is a nice unit. The management was an extra, and the DP only would be a pain but I've done without KVM for a few years now (monitor, keyboard, mouse, tools on a stand-hotplug as needed). The 650 does come with an onboard NIC, but unless it is 10GbE it will never be enough these days.

The AMA has been pretty adamant about their members not registering, I think they want a legal case to challenge. I have a number of Radians, some other smaller quads, and a huge flying wing running ArduPilotMega with full instrumentation and enough capacity to carry a DSLR. I have not yet had...

    Basement water cooling

I'd just use a kill-a-watt at the wall and consider that a safe figure. Or (what I normally do), get something that is certainly overkill and don't worry about it.

I bought a wiring harness that allowed the steering wheel controls to interface with the aftermarket stereo. It works, but cost nearly as much as the head unit.

Oh, and a warning. I really like the Koolance stuff, but check here before you order; every part is a distinct P/N that needs to be spec'd separately. In fact, I have quite a few fittings and misc that I'd send your way were you interested in doing this.

This is the unit I use, but don't do that unless you are cooling multiple systems (several kW). This is the one I would get were I you. Integrated rad, fans, pump, res, and control for all of it.

    Basement water cooling

Yup, I have a similar system (into my garage) for the summer. I use Koolance Quick Disconnects to allow me to move the rad inside in the winter. Part of my redesign would be to keep the hard-plumbed loop in place and leave the pump outside all the time. Just relocate the rad for winter. Also...

Thank you for finding that one, allow me to whine about the lack of modular cables ;) Efficiency is one of the boxes that I tick when I build a system, it would be nice to not have to install a 550W PSU and run it at 15% load most of the time just to claim efficiency. These systems aren't...

Microsoft Storage Spaces vs. RAID Level

I've got some SSDs coming to play with the tiering capabilities. I suspect that with even only 400GB of SSD in front performance of the HDD system becomes nearly irrelevant.

Seasonic Announce New Prime Series PSU's

Sounds good to me. I'd really like to see an 80Plus Titanium in the 300W range. Efficiency peaks at about 50% of rated capacity, and that would make it ideal for normal builds.

Microsoft Storage Spaces vs. RAID Level

So the upside is the ability to add and remove drives from the array, and to specify arbitrary logical capacities. The downside is crap performance? That is unfortunate. Time to sync off all the changes and go back to a proper RAID.

Microsoft Storage Spaces vs. RAID Level

My first assumption was that there was some equivalency here; with "No Resiliency" meaning RAID0, and the other options stepping through RAID5, RAID6, and RAID1. This was further reinforced when I added a 4th drive to my "no resiliency" pool; the OS asked if I wanted to optimize drive usage and...
