    Something for Handruin

Justin Thimberlake. Also, it may be temper-related, but one of the first thing I check with a car is how well it fares in collision tests and the S4, while not bad, isn't particularly good either. In the same price range, the BMW 5 series is better. You can see the money as a payback for the...

Hitachi RMA support : bunch of bastards!

Those were two separate events. My fist met the phone while my foot met the door. I received a reply from Hitachi : I guess I'll have to postpone any strangulation plans of Hitachi employee for now.

The next chapter is that I have a new phone now. The former one didn't make it. Replacing the door from my computer room will be more complicated as I broke the door frame too.

Hitachi RMA support : bunch of bastards!

I sent a DOA Hitachi 7K1000.D 1TB in RMA. The process was easy and they quickly shipped me back a replacement drive. I received it last week, but I put it aside since I didn't need it immediately. Today was the day I opened the bag. The drive felt heavier than I remembered the...

I'd like to find a Zuma-like free game for a customer. Is there any, except for the online-only versions? Someone told me there's another version with a bug instead of a toad, but it's very similar. The customer likes stupid and simple computer games. I've seen this one on several computers...

Minimum power setup to go in Server case

"Latest technology+server" and "cheap" is an oxymoron. Those terms do not belong in the same sentence, unless you put "not" in front of "cheap". I've found you a modern server motherboard and a 20W Xeon CPU in a previous post of this thread, but cheap they aren't. Cheap and latest tech is...

    Football

End up all speculation. The Giants' running back could have walked to the end zone and no Patriots would have touched him. It was the only way the Pats could win the game. Otherwise, the Giants could have use another play to run down the clock and make a field goal. That would have given...

The Giants didn't win the Superbowl ; the Patriots lost it. Wes Welker needs to grow up two or three inches. He had the win in his hands and dropped it. Just like the Raven's receiver did in the end zone versus the Patriots two weeks ago. A disappointing year it was.

What motherboard model(s) are so unreliable? Dual-socket motherboards should focus primarily on reliability. This is odd. Maybe you should switch to Intel's side. An Asus Z8NA-D6 with two Xeon E5645 or E5649 isn't much more expensive than a dual-Opteron setup. It's probably faster too.

Long range wireless PCI network card

...you often are. ;) I'm sure that TP-Link wireless USB device is better than average, but in the specifications, the gain is said to be 3dB. An average antenna is only 2dB, but the Alfa wireless USB device had a 5dB antenna, so there's a good chance the TP-Link you've linked would come up short.

Long range wireless PCI network card

I think I can. That's a good idea. The range is over 300ft and both are indoor on the opposite (farther) wall of their respective buildings. At least those (farm) buildings aren't made of concrete. The Alfa USB wireless network device allowed a 3-4bars/5 and it's rated at 5dB gain, so it can...

Do you think a TP-Link TL-WN951N with 3x TL-ANT2408CL or even TL-ANT2408C antennas would match the range of an external USB wireless device like an Alfa AWUS036NH? The range of the latter if rather impressive, but I can't get it locally.
