I was about to post that for a man supposed to (even temporarily) give up, you're posting decent numbers. For the nine last months of the year, you've been the top producer overall, barely edging Mark and me (although on the entire year, I woop all your asses ;) ). See you back in April.

Cyclone Thane hit India not too far from where Mubs lives. He has not posted since Christmas so there's no way to know if he's alright or not. I haven't read much about Thane, but it doesn't seem to be a major cyclone. Mubs will probably only have to replace his hair after that small wind blow.

I do want to buy a used car

I've never had to replace the clutch of my near 8-years-old car and I drive like a madman (wonder why). I drove 223000Km with it so far. You must beat your car beyond reason to have to replace it at only 80K miles.

    Remote Desktop Support

Search for "Concurrent RDP Patcher" on Google to enable RDP on Windows 7 Home Premium. That way you can connect remotely to the system with something like LogMeIn, even if there's no one on the other computer or without disturbing the other user and logging in another session than his own.

How to deal with wind chill?

Wow, you really stayed awake all night long watching the temperature drop? Talk about an obsession. The lowest temperature I've experience from memory was in 1993 or 1994, -37C or 38C (~-35F), -53C (~-64F) with windchill. I was out working outside for several hours in the late night/early...

If Windows Update asked to install the SP2, it's because you've installed Windows Server 2008, not Windows Server 2008 R2. If you tell me you've installed a SP2 for Windows Server 2008 R2, I want a printscreen for proof.

There's only the SP1 for Server 2008 R2, AFAIK. The SP2 is for Windows Server 2008 (not R2).

A few critics regarding the Source 210 Elite : Two holes where the motherboard standoffs go were very hard to screw. I had to take a long nose to tighten them. The internal fan connectors should be small PWM 4-pin types. Instead, they are 3-pin type and take their power from a 4-pin molex...
