It all depends on the intended usage. I think this would be a great machine for the person who doesn't care about gaming. For $225 you get a quiet, brand new no fuss machine that is ready to run and should have great reliability. This would be perfect for my dad if he needed a new machine...

It seems that all that the Pro version of Trillian offers is video chat. Basic seems to work good for me. Am I missing anything good in Pro?

Yeah..I know what ya mean. I'm glad you're happy with that NF7-S. Mine was actually just an NF7 (non-S) so maybe the S's were better overall...or I just had bad luck. C

Our bed has the 20 year warranty and never needs flipping. $1,500 seemed like a lot to me but you just have to remind yourself that you're going to spend about 1/3 of your life on it for at least 20 years. When you look at it that way, $1,500 bucks isn't nearly so bad. While we were shopping...

I had trouble with the NF7. I got one when they first came out. Did RMA and got another board that was also crap. Replaced it with an Epox and everything was great. Maybe the NF7s got better after my little episode with them. I know I didn't want an NF7 to be a part of your little system...

I've been very happy with AVG. They just upgraded the free version to v7 about a month or two ago. I've installed it on PCs of all of my friends and family and they have never had any virus related problems (and they don't exactly practice the safest computing habits). Free automatic updates...

My Netgear WGR614v1 (802.11g) has been good for me. It just goes and goes and goes. I never have to reset it or anything. I'm using WEP encryption. When I try to use WPA it gets kind of flaky and unstable. Netgear is on v5 of the router now, I think. I'm not sure it is any better but the...

1GB RAM Minimum? That seems a little high for me. What games actually play better with large amounts of RAM like that?
