Question about ISP provided personal Webpage/space security

Question about ISP provided personal Webpage/space security

In order to deface a sight... If the hoster only offers FTP access (no shell accounts) and there is no ASP, CGI, etc way to upload or modify pages then it's only a matter of hacking the FTP server or guessing(brute forcing) the user/pass on FTP. Of course, the admin of the FTP server should...

Ever wanted to know the thoughts of car fans?

hahahah.... that's funny My neighbor rubbed my drivers door with her cherokeee while she was backing out of her driveway and I was temprarily parked on the street for about an hour. Damage: rooughed up paint and a dent/scratch on the door. Estimate $700-$900 Had a friend change lanes into me...

    Can't sleep, what to do

i think you really have to drink alot of water... I was thinking the problem was a combination of thinning of the blood and the water washing out too many nutrients from your body. I would think it would take several gallons or more daily of water.

I don't drive reclessly any more... only during my highschool days. When i was driving at 100+ in my Camry I wasn't near any traffic and it was after midnight with a clear view of both infront and behind for a good ways.

    Clumsy days

Heh, when i'm in the bathroom I am pretty good at knocking my deodorant off the counter.. of course it always manages to bounce off three things before it usually does a dive into the toilet bowl... That's always fun. Other than that I'm usually pretty good.

Good choice for cheap monitor or LCD...

oh.. flat panels run at any resolution up to their max just like a CRT.. However, when the image is having to be resized it often gets a bit blurry or blocky. So running the LCD at its "native" resolution (the one it was designed to run best at) will ensure no resizing and the image should be...

wow, I was expecting some ungodly num ber.. maybe 1600x1200... if you're running 1280x1024 or less then I can guarantee that any belkin omniview KVM should be more than adaquate. I'm using an older one (it was succeded by the omniview classic 4 port ps/2 KVM) and the quality at 1280x1024 on my...

    The SCO Debacle

if it turns out that SCO has a valid point and that their property is being infringed upon, what is are the chances of people paying for the use of SCO's intelectual property? I would think it'd be cheaper to re-code the pieces of the kernel that are suspect.

that's considered a backup? those damn things are so unrelaibale. Really, a www server doesn't require a dedicated box. The CPU usage will probably be under 1% for 1% of the day and only a couple MB of RAM usage to laod the server daemon. The big requirements are bandwidth. I've found the...

Ever wanted to know the thoughts of car fans?

non metal bumpers are fine. I actually prefer a nice painted bumper.. but io prefer fiberglass to plastic from what I've seen. I personally prefer when things feel sturdy and substantial. Plastic can, but usually does not in most vehicles.

don't imagine you'd get too far that way, gearing is all wrong on most passenger cars... y ou might be able to go fast if you had a two stroke motor cycle and ran the engine in reverse. I've found some of these articles interesting. AOL Uses How Much Memory?

Question about ISP provided personal Webpage/space security

I'd say it's upto both parties. You obvisouly don't want to give users the ability to make drastic changes to the server or atleast your portion of the server through the use of ASP, CGI, etc. And the server admin shouldn't be giving you any more access than is necessary. System wide...

Yeah, I noticed even bumpers are plastic now.. mine are fiberglass, which I feel is far superior than the plastic bumpers which seem to bend instead of crack and also seem to sag on some cars... This is getting rediculous... have any of you noticed that the front grills of cars are now often plastic made to look like metal? They do a good job of imitating chome and cast steel and aluminum... but overtime the plastic just doesn't last as long. And isn't nearly as sturdy.
