Do you have a folder or drive where you keep stuff you don't want to lose? Do you take precautions (multiple copies, redundancy, multiple locations, etc)?

SSDs - State of the Product?

Connectivity is going to be a major concern as well. As Lunar alluded to, even now newer storage interfaces are coming out. Also, the unknown risk of putting something offline on a shelf is, to me, unacceptable. I'll start another thread about this part of it...

I want to buy a new car

I don't feel comfortable calling an overclock stable unless I know how far from "the limit" it is. This involves finding the limit. Quite possibly. Good thought. I wish. Doing an OC is something I charge a flat rate for.

Trouble. I was doing a long-term test of the system after a final overclock. Left it on the bench overnight with very little load. Came in the next morning and the system was off. Turning it on causes the following: 1. No video 2. All three lights on the keyboard on solid and non-responsive 3...

SSDs - State of the Product?

The trick to making Amazon links work is to not use your own address bar. On the right side of the product page, above the "Add to Cart" button is a simple link called "Share". This will give you a URL that will work for everyone following it, whether they are logged in or not, or whatever...

I have a pair of full wrap-around sunglasses with my prescription in them and a pretty dark tint. I think Nike makes them, and they can fit a pretty thick lens without looking weird or feeling heavy. They live in my car, as the self-darkeining lenses work everywhere else. I think they were...

    Cellular Booster

Even their smaller units would do that pretty easily. The main question then is how much antenna you'll need to use to acquire the source signal. On containers I typically bolt a 15' length of 2" schedule 80 pipe to the side and then mount the external antenna to the top of that. I bet the Home...

It really depends on the size of the area you need to cover, and whether the source antenna can be reached using reasonable effort. I have their large system driving a pair of giant outdoor panel antennas and providing coverage to an acre or so including warehouses.

Still haven't found a 1080 from a reputable seller that has more than the single 8-pin power connector. Based on the reviews, this seems to resolve a potential bottleneck in overclocking. I would love that card with the EK waterblock on it, but haven't found that either.

That company was mine. I'd negotiated the sale and left. The tech industry collapsed so completely immediately after I left that one of their escape clauses was triggered. Without guidance, the staff (~30) just kept paying themselves until they ran out of money.

What's the best wireless router these days?

Most of the time it was just the power supply that failed. When there was a situation where reliability was paramount I'd put in a scientific power supply, strip the casing, attach a bunch of aftermarket heatsinks, and mount the board directly to the wall. Never had one of those fail.
