Nichia Develops 60 Lumen Per Watt White LED

In Chicago we have Peapod, the prices are so much higher than a regular grocery store that it's not worth it. There are three large grocery stores within a block of my condo. We still only go grocery shopping once a week. It just takes too much time.

    Samsung 2TB

I got the new cables and screwed around some more. From what I can tell it's the drive not the controller or the cable. I must have been mistaken when I was testing this previously. Steps I took: Replaced the cable, drive still showed up as 1000GB Switched to another open port, still showed up...

    iPhone syndrome

I'm on a Sprint family plan that costs 129.99 for 1500 minutes, unlimited texts, unlimited data. Do you think this will qualify me if I pay the $10 4G upcharge? I have been thinking about this phone way too much.

    Samsung 2TB

Yes, that's possible. I'll try it again when I get the new cables. I don't feel like screwing with it anymore.

    I believe it was: Drive A to port 3 with cable A = 1000GB Drive B to port 4 with cable B = 2000GB swap Drive A to port 4 with Cable B = 2000GB Drive B to port 3 with Cable A = 1000GB

    Samsung 2TB

I got the drives I ordered and hooked them up last night. One of them shows up as ~2000GB, the other shows up as 931GB. This is the case both in the BIOS and in GParted. I tried switching the cables and the sizes switched. Has anyone ever seen a cable that couldn't support a 2TB drive? I...

I'm 74" (188 cm) and 160 lbs (72.5 kg). My goal is to be around 155 lbs by mid-summer. When cycling extensively I have dropped below 150. You can figure out how many stones if you prefer. No, I'm not anorexic, bulimic, or anything else. I generally eat ~2500 calories per day and more when...

Merc, there are some places to ride over there. Check out the Prairie Duneland Trail or Dunes Highway. Google has bicycle directions now, which can give you advice on what routes are better for riding.

When did you give up training?

It is more difficult, because you can't stop pedaling for more than 2 seconds. Balance training comes in useful when you are riding in a pace line and any slight movement can cause an accident.
  40. timwhit

When did you give up training?

It is for everyone until you get used to it, after a few weeks of riding you won't even notice it anymore. Also, get padded shorts if you don't have them already.
  41. timwhit

When did you give up training?

The roller requires balance, so it is much closer to regular riding versus riding on a trainer. I own a trainer as well, but I find it even more boring than the roller.
  42. timwhit

When did you give up training?

I mainly cycle in the summer. I rode ~1500 miles last year. I have been slow to start up this year. I've only done 80 miles so far this year. I could have been riding indoors on my roller all winter long. But, that thing is torture (boring, body parts fall asleep, sweat drips uncontrollably)...

I also have a pair of Sennheiser CX300 ear bud headphones that I use at work. They aren't noise canceling, but because they block the ear so effectively, I can't hear anything other the music I am listening to when they are in.

SSDs - State of the Product?

None of that matters. You need to be concerned with random read and random write performance, which can't be accurately estimated by looking at transfer rate and access time.

Ancient Computer; Modern Browser, Security software

I think that has a lot to do with what you are doing. If you log into your bank account from IE5.5 in VMWare it's just as unsecure as not using VMWare. VMWare is not going to provide any protection against XSS or social engineering attacks.
